You will be losing out a bit on power I think, since the tune is for CARB/91, but I doubt it's that severe if the rest of your car is stock. We have 93 down here in FL too, so I'll be in the same boat. I'll probably run the Edelbrock tune for a while before upgrading the rest of the exhaust and getting a custom tune (and maybe E85, but I think that requires pump and injector upgrades with the SC, so we'll see)
Cool I'll check out the video. I think I watched something today but it was a quick fly through of the install, didn't talk about the tune or anything else. Yeah here in Houston we have 91 and 93 at the pump so I'm covered. Only other mods I have coming is a catback system. I'm not looking to mess with catless pipes or anything else that might fail inspection.

Per Edelbrock, you have an Edelbrock installer local to you. However, based on their website, I would suspect they've never done a FRS/BRZ before.

We'll be more than happy to ship you a kit if you have a local mechanic you trust to do the installation, or have a mechanically inclined friend who can help you install the kit over a weekend.
Mike I love you lmao I just checked their website I didnt even know they had a shop like NEXT TO MY HOUSE. But these guys only build American V8s, lol since there's so many Camaros and Mustangs here. I believe it.

Here's the video Freude was talking about
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vk4pFiWOMPQ"]Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger FRS / BRZ Install - YouTube[/ame]

Detailed, and great music to boot!

Also, even though the CARB tune is optimized for 91 oct, I don't think you're be "loosing out" on 93, it will still do better than 91, just not "as good as it can get".

The instruction manual is pretty darn detailed, and includes pictures of every step, with the applicable parts highlighted.

If you have done other basic work on your car, you can do this install with a buddy (you need two people to get the manifold on the car safely, unless you're a pretty big guy).

Alternatively, it's more expensive, but we can fly a tech out to you as well.

The tune is adaptive to higher octane fuels. While you won't get 100% of the gains (there's still a margin for safety), you'll get 95% of the potential gains without doing anything except using the higher octane fuel.

Let us know how it goes, any issues and your overall thoughts about the package.

Oh...and I just realized you're automatic...or at least your car is.

Cheers!

I guess it does if you just use a impact driver on EVERYTHING! Torque specs are for wussies.

Good luck! Let us know if you have the low load hesitation issues a few of us have had... I'm still working with Edelbrock to get the tune dialed in for my car, still too bumpy to dyno and report on...

The power is awesome, once my issues are sorted I'm going to be very happy with it!

Posts pic of car on dyno, no dyno plot... j/k

Were you custom tuned or on CARB? Just curious how a CARB tuned car would do on 93 (I'm in CA but I have a gas station with 93 about 30 mins away and have been thinking of getting some)
