White Liquid - Similar to Pegasus White ?

Just put a deposit down on a MY17 GTS in White Liquid. I found out though it is not the Satin looking white that the Pegasus White was. It says it is Metallic though.

I am starting to feel a little unhappy that it is not the same white. Can anyone confirm if it's a big difference to the previous white? I don't really want a flat looking white like a fleet vehicle. Also, can I change my mind if I already put a deposit down?

Cheers

Google can go a long fuckin' way if you can spend 10 seconds to type, and 15 seconds to read.

I actually did try and find out info online but couldn't. And since this was an 86 forum I figured it was an appropriate place to ask.... something else that could go a long way for you would be some fucking manners...

You can change your mind if it is a refundable deposit. You will not get the satin finish with White liquid that you will get with the Whiteout/Pegasus White/Satin White Pearl. i personally love the older Whiteout as opposed to the new 2017+ variants.

Hi ya Mr_Jay and welcome to out mostly friendly forum......

You may wish to cut ol @Cole some slack today ...... he got out of his car on the wrong side..........

I actually don't know about the differences in the whites between years.

Maybe the dealer has some color chips or cars on the lot to look at .... ??

Enjoy your new car!

The color actually changed with the MY15 so go see an old one on the lot if possible. To me the new one is much more flat but its all in the eye of the viewer.

If the US color is the same as yours, I much prefer the 86 white over the 13 FR-S. I'd say don't worry about, they both look good.

Thanks mate, that's exactly what I was looking for.

To be honest I don't feel so bad now. They both look great. My personal preference will be with the old colour but the new one isn't bad.

I had this image in my head of a nice shiny new 86 with a Camry white paint job.... as you can imagine I was mortified !

Thanks heaps to the valuable input from everyone and look forward to contributing to the forum myself once I get the car end of March hopefully
