Here's a few Qs:

- Has anyone (shops/distributors esp) actually weighed a new unopened JRSC package/box yet?

Just want to see the true/accurate weight numbers this kit adds. I know the cardboard packaging might weigh some; but, probably just a little bit. If anything, you can re-weigh all the cardboard/packaging after an install, and then subtract it from the unopened JRSC kit package weight, to get an accurate number.

- Do you think the DT Flash&Go tune is worth it over the JRSC CARB tune, if just planning to use 91oct? I am sure the E85 upgrade + FlexFuel Hardware kit is well worth it because of those huge numbers. But, I am unsure if the Flash&Go tune is worth it over the JRSC CARB tune, if planning to just stick with 91oct, since the DT 91oct tune only adds a smidgen of extra power (+14whp).

Get the carb legal kit since you are in CA. You can always change the tune later. You are probably going to want flex fuel since our 91 oct here is so terribad. Just get a flex fuel tune later on down the road instead of getting a FnG tune now.

58lbs in a 32x24x18 box Packaging weighs a LOT; it is meticulously packed. I believe the kit components, all inclusive of everything going on the car, is 34 lbs. You'll also remove 4 lbs of parts from the car.

You're in California; get the CARB tune.

The pump is inconsistent. I cannot recommend it at this time.

Which sucks, because literally, every other DW product I've ever used is top notch. And the 65C is a drop-in.

The Flash and Go tunes actually can be configured as Flex Fuel, and we also have a plug and play Flex Fuel Kit to go along with it. Just an FYI

Sincerely,

Thanks.

Since you do a lot of installs, maybe you should save all the extra packaging that's inside the box, and re-dump it all in the empty box, then re-weigh it...then subtract that from a brand new unopened box. Can't get anymore accurate than that

Even then...58lbs or 34lbs isn't too bad. I guess all that added extra front-end weight can be offset with a lightweight battery and bbk front brakes

I actually wish there were more 86 JRSC videos. I noticed there are only a very few videos of it (CSG racing videos..which are awesome nonetheless). Most "supercharged brz/frs" videos on youtube are innovate, vorshlag, etc. Zzzzz

Hmm..I guess all the JRSC owners are having too much fun with their kits to waste their time taking videos lol

Video reviews, street reviews, install reviews and street antics would be grand

It's the same amount of weight as a few gallons of gas. You won't feel it, trust me.

If I had anything better than my phone I would :P

My next track day in a couple months I'll have a go pro though.

If weight is that important to you, you should also consider a celery-only diet and make sure there is no excess lint on your socks before entering the car.
