Oct 3rd Hooked on Driving event at Laguna Seca

So I just signed up for this event in the beginner class. $350 dollars on Hookedondriving.com. Going to get instruction and be able to drive around the track a fair bit. I'm stoked. Just putting this up so others in CA can also sign up and go if they want to get some track time.

That's a lot of money for a track day! I'm used to paying less than $200.

I've also never done a track day there either... I'm still pretty new to NorCal.

Yeah, but my buddy is doing instruction, and I'm definitely going for instructor led driving. I want to learn the car as well as become a better driver. He recommended it for getting the chance to drive on a really awesome course.

I could have paid less, but I trust him. He's hardcore, and this sounds like a great experience.

I don't know anything about that TDO, but definitely getting instruction is the best thing you can do by a fcuking country mile!

I'd much rather pay for a well organized day out, than get a supposed 'deal' and be stuck on circuit with a bunch of numpties in sheds dropping oil and thinking they are Fernando Alonso after playing too much GT5.

The FRS/BRZ are great choices for recreational trackday goers. Hope you have a great day out

I've been looking out for track days for the summer, so I'm definitely interested and might consider joining ya. The price seems a bit steep compared to other ones I've seen, mostly thunderhill and infineon. My WRX buddies, who swear by Track Masters, seem to think the price is ok, since they have similar pricing for Laguna Seca.

Yeah the Hooked on Driving event is highly praised by a bunch of the people I know at work. My buddy here is a serious driver. He has a ridiculously awesome M3, and has driven I think all of the tracks in CA multiple times. He recommended I check this one out because of how organized it is, and how good the beginners sign up would be for a new driver like me.

Let me know if you decide to go. My buddy and I are going to carpool down in the morning, so we can meet up with you as well. I'm super stoked about this event. One of my goals for this car was to put it around Laguna by the end of 2012.
