Go with a +35 offset in a 17x9, should have no issues with a BBK.
Run a 245/40R17 tire.
You won't find tires in the sizes you quoted above anyway.

OK, I've changed my plans and now I'm looking at a square set-up 18x8 +45 running a 235/45/18.

Should I be looking at a wider tire or mabe a smaller sidewall? I think either 40 or 45 will be fine rubbing wise but Im curous what others think.

Too tall of a tire, plus I don't even think you'll find that tire size in any performance tire or many brands except for Continental.

Choose from one of the following:

  • 225/40R18
  • 245/35R18
Even a 235/40R18 is a bit tall but doable but is not as common a tire size.

For the wheel size, I would go with a 225 unless you need extra width, then a 245/35 would work.

Does it fit?
17x9 et52mm rim
255/40/17 dunlop direzza zii star specs.
Aiming for basically no camber to be flush.
Im okay with getting full suspension and trimming wheel wells, im just not okay with excessive camber and the tires sticking out of the wheel well.
So with a set of AST 4150's and the full alignment array of parts you think it will fit? Its not that far off what i've seen others run still a beefy setup though.
Let me know! All help appreciated!

Hey there,
New Brz owner here, 2015 Limited.
I am currently looking at buying ROTA D2-Ex wheels 18x9.5 +38mm 73
with the sumitomo tires 265/35ZR18
I currently have Tein S-tech lowering springs on the car
Im unsure if the wheels will fit in the front just because of the width?
Thanks for any help!

The +52 offset is too high. Some are running 17x9 +45 and still have issues once they lower and then they need to add spacers. For flush look, look for an offset closer to +38-42.

And why no camber?
Understand not wanting excessive camber, but getting some negative camber helps with handling and fitment too.

I'm really in love with the look of the flat black MB Battle wheels. I am lowered 3-3.5 inches on BC Racing coilovers.

Unfortunately they only come in 18 X9.5 5x114.30 23 offset.
As our cars are 5x100 I would have to purchase 15mm conversion spacers.

I also plan on purchasing the GT Spec toe kit & Powered by Max rear lower control arms.

How can I make these fit without having it super cambered out & without rubbing at the same time? & what kind of tire specs should I go for?

Here is an idea of how low my car is:

They won't fit unless you go crazy nuts with camber (see Aggressive Wheels thread = Stanced crowd)

Starting with a +23 and adding a 15mm spacer will give you an effective offset of +8. That's not even close to what you need especially when trying to fit a 9.5" wheel.

Thanks for the speedy reply!
Here's another alternative then.
The Gunmetal Grey MB Battles come in: 18 X8 5-114.30 43 offset
Adding the 15mm adapters would make it come out to +28
That should be able to fit & sit flush correct? What kind of tire specs should I go for? I was thinking 215/35/18.

Yes, much better for stock, gives you a bit more leeway.

You could go with the 245/35 (meatier), or 225/40 (smaller) but more ideal for the 8" wheel size. You should have no issues if you want to run the 245's and both tire sizes are perfect OEM diameter.

No rubbing either way.

* looking for a 52 offset for the rear and 45mm offset in the front. Then i can change up wheel studs and spacers to get what i need since rims for this car arent very common.
Mostly i want a rear tire that is straight up and down and has the largest contact patch in a straight line for boost, and up front i wouldnt mind a 1-1.8 ish degrees of camber for fitment and a little bit of grip in the corners.
Still kinda thinking about everything
