It looks better knock wise that previous but, still getting a bit 5000-7000 I think your exhaust mods , High flow cat ect have changed things a bit , as I did this map on a stock car. did shiv get back to you about running the stage 2 map ?? look like you might have to be much more aggressive in pulling timing on that setup see post here http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...5&postcount=18 that was on stage 2 map timing Last edited by steve99; 04-04-2014 at 06:41 PM. |

For what its worth, here are my findings:
1. As @arghx7 said, fuel quality hasn't helped, nor has butchering timing for the low rpm/high load condition for FBKC. I can reproduce it every time but that is driving like an idiot in 4th gear loading up from~1500-3000rpm, so driving normally or at the track won't happen. 2. As @Fizz mentioned, ambient temperature is definitely a factor. Now that temperature has dropped to mid 20s instead of 35-40 degrees celsius, it doesn't happen as often or severe. I've even added all the timing back and it is way better now than butchered timing during hot conditions. 3. With suggestions from @steve99, switching from 98 to 100 has definitely helped with FLKC, only -.35 in a couple of cells and IAM stays solid at 1. Thanks guys, keep up the good work as we've definitely learnt a lot on this forum. |

Has anyone got the RR xml file for the 700I rom? Doesn't seem to be in with all the rest of them.

i see this too in japan, but its so rare i havnt been able to nail it down yet. i can blast around a track all day and have zero issues, but ill be idling in traffic and notice it drop to .86 or a little higher

Try the timing changes in the 100RON map only timing pulled is 0.35 2000-3000 rpm nothing up top end, will stop the iam drop in traffic and not effect top end, you fuel probably better than ours, but check for flkc 5000-7000.

If you guys have been experiencing the knock due to high IAT, you could always adjust the IAT timing compensation. Then you won't have to adjust your maps seasonally. Most of the ECU calculations seem to base normal IAT at 20c.

I did most of my testing at night (less traffic & to avoid IAT compensations) so it was around 20-25C ,but something to think about thanks. In traffic IAT's here can get 40C+ where ecu starts to pull timing due temps.

Also, the OFT website is missing maps for the A00I rom. How hard is it to compile these once you have access to the RR definition file? |

but I am not going to guarantee your success. Are you trying to edit your original ROM or the OFT rOM ?? , usually the OFT ROM is based on the later update probably A01I so you should use that definition. |

The ECU's are the same its just the firmware (ROM) that changes, you can flash a 700I with A00I or A01I If the oft has flashed it it will likely be a A01I spec ROM in the cars now. So just edit the Stage 1 A01I ROM load it up to OFT and flash it. If the OFT won't flash it then talk to Shiv at vishnu and he will sort it out Last edited by steve99; 04-09-2014 at 07:17 AM. |
