LOL I rarely see the others coming and wave late all the time. I usually hear them before is see them "Oh is that a boxer I hear? Yep... oh shit too late"

I guess it's ok cuz it's a GT86 spoiler overseas? Its funny though as he probably had to walk into Subaru to order just the spoiler, or perhaps swapped with a GBS BRZ from the US.

Are you saying that colour was an option on the BRZ in the US? I would have got a blue if possible, but the WRB is a bit too common and a bit too bright for my tastes, and I only wanted a BRZ. Wish they would have offered it.

I did a trunk swap straight up with an FR-S to obtain my Monogram spoiler because I HATE the OEM BRZ spoiler, but the dude preferred it to his. It actually suited his car better as he was going for more of an aggressive look, and I'm going for more of a "clean" look.

Now I'm toying with the idea of trying to find a spoiler-less trunk in the spring to swap with because I want to switch up the look and go with more of a duckbill style, but I don't want to have to deal with filling the holes left after removing the Monogram spoiler.

But I'll wait until spring for that because it's way too fuckin' cold to do a trunk swap now.

Yes it was a colour in 2013 and 2014 I believe in US only, and then was since discontinued. I'm pretty sure it was identical to ultramarine so a darker blue than WRB.

It's funny you say that, I actually swapped my monogram trunk with a blank firestorm trunk from another forum member's car - I didn't like the OEM Scion spoiler and like you wanted to avoid the drilled holes. I installed a genuine TRD spoiler from Japan and I love the duckbill look. It has lines on the spoiler that perfectly match up to the body on the trunk

And it's funny you say THAT, as I think the Monogram spoiler has lines that flow so much better on the body of this car (like the lines that carry from the roof to the trunk into the wing), compared to the hideous BRZ spoiler that looks like a total after-thought that was stuck on last-minute and took it's inspiration from a 2001 Grand Am GT. It doesn't suit the car at all, or flow with the body lines. In my humble opinion, of course.

Different strokes, right?

I think I'll be looking for something a bit more aggressive than the TRD, but the jury is still out.

White FR-S with steelies. Turned onto Eastbound Mayfield from Southbound Dixie in Caledon at around 8am this morning. I was also heading South but was a few cars back and couldn't get beside to try and wave before it turned.

WRB BRZ turned onto Eastbound Drew Road from Northbound Dixie at around 8:30am this morning. I was still heading South but was too far back in traffic to try and wave or flash my lights before the car turned.

I also think I saw a modified red FR-S on Ambler Drive near the 401 Dixie Auto Mall last night (sometime between 7:30 and 9pm). I work at Hyundai and was out back having a smoke and saw it go by. Couldn't get a good look at any particulars exterior-wise, but I heard that it definitely had an exhaust.

I agree, I never liked the OEM BRZ spoiler either, and prefer the Scion one as well since it does have lines matching up to the existing body of the car as you said.

And yes, different strokes I suppose as I still wanted something else and landed with the TRD - I like that it adds to the rear end while being subtle enough as well.

There are many more aggressive duckbill type spoilers - you'll have a few to choose from to suit your taste

That'll be the hard part, as I've been known to be indecisive...
