It appears (this may not be the case, but this is how it appears to me) that this project has not been given priority, at all.

I read posts, and see vids of other projects that FA20club has finished, but this car has been there for what, over 6 months?

Did FRS300 do something to piss you off? It seems that he has been more than nice, and beyond patient, and yet still we get updates about this, or that being fucked up, and again why the car isn't done yet.

I'm not trying to instigate anything, or trying to be a ****, but this thread is the reason I chose a different company for my turbo kit. If this car had been finished and posting numbers, I would have chosen FA20club for the turbo kit, and probably would have gone for the fully built motor as well.

I would think that with a thread like this with high visibility and so many people watching and waiting, that FA20club might put off some other projects or customers and get this car done. It just doesn't seem right.

Every time i see a new vid, or new thread, or hear about a new product from FA20club, I think about FRS300's car, and it bums me out.

I hope I don't piss anyone off at FA20club, I'm just stating my thoughts about how things appear. I may be way off base, and if so, please excuse me.

I know I personally would be beyond depressed at this point.

I really hope FRS300 gets his car back and running as soon as possible.
Honestly, at a point much earlier than this, I lost all hope for FA20club. He really REALLY needs to speak up and lay it out on the table because I honestly believe that FRS300's build is probably the most public build to date.

the problem isn't just with fa20club, it's extremely common from what i've seen in this business. small organizations produce some product with fairly high demand in a niche market, and end up disappointing people regardless of how great the products are. it's the worst with tuners and people that sell that 'pay me once, bug me forever' type of product. burnout and the cs nightmare that it precipitates are inevitable. the model just doesn't scale well. those that can invest to scale it become the borlas/dc sports of the world and end up making assembly line shit.

so don't hate the player, hate the game.

that said this has gotten way beyond the point of ridiculousness, and calls into question the experience and/or abilities of whoever keeps having to pull this motor over and over. full blown's engine build turnaround is what, a week? i feel for everyone involved (both the shop and the customer) and am glad i'm not a part of it lol.

I'm by no means of fan of Don's, but ever sense he commented on the porting and the removal of the humps in the intake ports, I've been wondering how things were going to play out.

I hope he was wrong, but I'm pretty sure he's built more FA20's then FA20club has and has more experience playing around with different things. In addition to that I also don't think FA20club is stupid and not checking valve lash on a boxer while it's out, is down right idiotic. Something just seems off to me, has for a while now. Then again, this could be the head porters fault.

I don't know what's off, if anything. I have zero proof of anything being wrong. I would love to see everything turn out good, with you getting your car soon, and FA20club turning out spectacular work. There's just a nagging curiosity in the back of my mind when ever I read this thread.

it was the head guys fault. he was sent all the stuff to make shims for it and never did. however whoever threw the heads on should have looked everything over as well.

I really like fa20club. I liked them more in the spring when they were not as busy as they seem to be now. They make good stuff and people seem to be very happy when they get it. Its just the wait game that is starting to take its toll.Seems like the wait for headers has been pretty extensive as well. I know Tony is busy with the shop but I would think Andy@fa20club.com could stop in here and say something.

Thinking about the expansion fa20club must have gone through in the last year it's very understandable. Hiring people for this type of work, that are as passionate as the customers, has to be next to impossible. I wouldn't doubt at all that Tony has been killing himself try to not have to turn down work. And hating himself for not keeping up with demand.

This. Also isn't this a side shop of the main shop so they have more then just the frs/brz cars to deal with.

It is a branch of T3r performance or something similar, whom seem to have a lot of time that's more important than working on customer satisfaction.
