Sounds overpriced for either honestly. Monogram would be awesome.... but not with damage.

What do you think a good price would be? Maybe it's just my area but I'm hard pressed to find any unmodded FRS under 50k miles for anything less than 16k. Most are like 19k average.

Ya, prices can be very regional so beware of guys that are not close by you saying "That is too much" because they are cheaper in their area. Now if you do broaden your search you can indeed find cheaper ones but that opens up a bunch of other concerns such as seeing the car and getting it home.

I very recently bought a 2013 base FR-S. Even though it is a base model, it still has plenty of nice features. I like it more every day.

The OP is basing his decision on the vehicle appearance and the opinion of a bunch of strangers on the Internet. You might as well flip a coin.
Spend a couple hundred dollars and take the cars to a mechanic who can put them on a lift, check for codes and whatnot and give the cars a good once over. It'll pay for itself in the long run. A mechanic may find things you won't see |

OP, is there a reason why you want the FRS over the BRZ? Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk |

These are the cheapest FRS within 150 mi. The first one has a bunch of mods which I'm personally not interested in, the second one looks mostly OK but not the color I want, and the third one is the one I proposed in my original post. These are the cheapest 3 BRZ's within 150 mi. The lowest one is almost 2k more than an FRS, and I don't think it offers much more than the base FRS since it's a premium and not a limited. With all due respect, southern IL is extremely rural. I live less than an hour from Chicago (and I hate how expensive everything here is!) so I'm not surprised the prices might be cheaper down there. If you know of any stellar deals down there, though, I would totally drive that far to pick it up. I have searched nationwide for the past 6 months and haven't found anything in good shape under 16k though :\ Everything either has a rebuilt title, previous accidents, etc. Every once in a while I saw one for 14/15k in good shape, but it was about a thousand miles away and the price difference wasn't large enough to justify a plane ticket or shipment cross counrty and all of that. Quote:
The only reason is that I like the front bumper on the FRS better than the BRZ. I'm not opposed to a BRZ. If I found one at a lower price than the FRS I'd probably go for it. Or, if I found a limited for 1-2k more... but it seems like most of them are 19-20k+ around here used, whereas I can get a FRS for 16-17k. |

That 2015 BRZ Limited is nice high mileage though.....2014, 2015's would be ideal if you can find one close to you.

No offense taken, I live right near St. Louis, so....not rural. I just found a 15 with 4,000 miles for 18K lol. I'm not going to do your research for you, but the deals are easy to find and a ton are in your own state. Look in Indiana as well. Unless you're pairing it down to certain colors / options there are a ton of low mileage cars around that pricepoint. Clean monogram with 34K for 19 down here as well. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...ting=168423454 Unless that's the car you're talking about originally and they changed mileage and took bad pics in the ad? |

The undamaged one by far. If your getting a new (to you) car. You dont want it to be damaged before buying it. If I was spending over 20k on a car I woul want it to be in perfect condition. Are both cars all stock?

The monogram has a couple cosmetic things like shift knob etc but no big deal. I haven't seen under the hood, mostly because I didn't inquire to. I was leaning more toward the cheaper one as it's closer, and leaves money for mods down the road after I've gotten used to the car. |
