BT/Google Voice Command Issue...
I use a Samsung Note 5 and it connects flawlessly via BT in my FRS. Audio works great.
But, when I want to use Google voice commands, my Note 5 hears me say "OK Google" and responds just fine by going into "listening" mode, but as it listens for the actual command, the microphone seems to not be operational - no audio is passed back to Google, and the app times out. Any idea why this is? A BT setting I've overlooked on my phone or on my FRS head unit? |

No problem, it's pretty stupid honestly, I have the upgraded head unit with navigation and it does the same thing for some reason the head unit microphone isn't set to always on like google now assumes most bluetooth devices are. Mostly because it was designed before google now and such.

Damn always had the same issue. Just went turned off the BT option and will try it out later.
I noticed that it would work through my car but you have to wait like a good 3 seconds before it can actually hear your speech. Even then it didn't work very well. |
