Repaint
Hi guys.
There is a question about repainting the car. I chose purple, but... It is very difficult to match the color of the picture/photo of the Internet with the code and the name of the true colors... May be there are some web site with sketches and real name of colour? I will leave here links to the colors that interested me. Anyone knows the name and marking paint? Maybe someone will advise the names of paint + pictures for illustration? I would be very grateful for help. My ideal (dream): http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/73...cdfeb0b930.jpg Other: http://ml24.net/gallery/img/ml24_sci...ody_kit_56.jpg http://ml24.net/gallery/img/ml24_sci...ody_kit_55.jpg http://www.nfsunlimited.net/tuningch...1679f2c6f1.jpg http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...polishoff1.jpg http://s1225.photobucket.com/user/ni...eat_4.jpg.html And like this. Thanks. |

House of Kolor UK10 Purple Kandy or UK17 Violette Kandy over BC12 base. Probably 3-5 coats of the Kandy depending on the final color intensity you are looking to achieve. Go to a reputable body shop, they will work with you. If you are serious about doing a custom color any good shop will happily do multiple spray outs so you can figure out exactly the color you want. This will also help document ratios, reductions, spray pressure, and number of coats; making it easier to do a repair in the future.

Plum Crazy Pearl looks to be sort of close. Although maybe a bit more blue and less pink than your ideal. Anyway, it's a Mopar color, paint code PHG.
That R33 Skyline I would guess to be Midnight Purple. The Lexus I'm not sure, but it looks awfully close too. Could be a custom job with the same, since that color seems to be somewhat popular for resprays. |

that look siiick. looks like a pearlesant purple? You can always put the image into photoshop and try to match the color code from there. It won't be perfect but kind of close?

Maybe do a vinyl wrap in the color you want first? That way you could drive it for a little bit and decide if you like it.

looks good.. what do you think of the gloss finish over your matte/flat finish?
i've never been a fan of matte myself other than black as the vehicles seem to always look unfinished (i'm a professional painter by trade) kind of like they were just freshly sanded and never finished i'm not insulting your choice. i'm just curious i think i just like cars to look shiny |
