Im also very happy that this option can READ the factory rom, and modify from there. Also opens the possibility of tweeking an existing map without starting from scratch.

Say your vortech supplied tune is fine except you just wanna raise idle speed.

that'll work, as long as the existing tune isn't ecutek. not sure about brzedit, i think it would depend whether the tuner locked your map or not.

True but they announced the same thing over there at the beginning of the month. Meaning it's more than an idea.

yeah, looks like they haven't quite updated the terminology in the code yet, but looks to be pretty far along. I'm glad someone is stepping up to the plate with something like this since Cobb won't.

Awesome looking product, I wonder if any tuners will adopt it and sell it with tunes. I love the idea of it but would be like a monkey with a math problem trying to tune my own car lol.

On the road so I'll make this fast . Rom tables will be defined in .xdf (tuner pro standard). We expect to have all useful tables defined and accessible to all users. New tables can be defined as well, by anyone, as they are discovered. Real-time on-screen data displays and data-logging will also be functional. We have asked Vishnu Tuning to provide base maps for a variety of configurations. They will be viewable by all and can be modified as users/other tuners see fit. We just sent our Toyota to them for tuning work and I believe they will be offering custom in-house dyno tuning for those who want it. Other tuners are also welcome to develop their own maps and resell the Tablet. Light just turned green.. Got to go!
