Drove my BRZ today, took a bit of a detour on my way to work to get everything up to temperature (commute is too short to heat up the oil properly otherwise). Paddled around a bit once things were nice and warm. Did not crash.

Drove my BRZ on some unfamiliar roads today. One of the roads had all sorts of excessive painting done to mark areas for pedestrians to cross where they had no business crossing, resulting in somewhat of a camouflage effect for the speed bumps on the street (speed bumps don't belong in a 35 mph zone anyway). Totally did not see the first speed bump and hit it at about 30 mph, felt the car go up and just about shit myself. Didn't scrape going up, but on the way down my front lip's short life flashed before my eyes. Luckily this was a rare speed bump that was actually designed to allow traffic to cross it at a reasonable speed, nice and shallow with I think a flat middle section. Didn't scrape going down either. Did not crash.

Almost got into an accident coming back to work from a late lunch...

I was at an intersection waiting to do a U turn. My light turned green with the arrow to turn left, as did the one on the opposite side of the intersection. As the car in the opposite side's left turn lane began to make his turn, the car in the lane next to him started moving about 15 mph through the red light, nearly hitting me as I kept honking at him. As he passed by I could see he was busy looking down at a phone, and a block later at another red light I could see he was still looking down at a phone, not paying any attention to what he was doing.

Wasn't even a kid. Had to be in his 30s or 40s. Just goes to show it's not a "young idiots" problem so much as people are fucking assholes if they drive distracted, be it from drinking, smoking, jacking themselves off, or using their damn phones.

Drove my BRZ today, nearly got rear ended by a golf cart. Stopped at a stop sign and the jackass driving the golf cart (which probably didn't even belong on the road in the first place) apparently didn't plan on stopping, they came screeching to a stop behind me, swerving a bit to one side. They sped away to safety across some nasty looking speed bumps that I would have had to crawl over so any any poorly considered plans of chasing after them were cut off immediately. Did not crash.

Drove my BRZ today, saw 2 other twins on my way home. Hit 8000 miles on the odometer as I got home. Did not crash.

Drove my BRZ to work and rolled over 30,000km. Cursed at every driver hanging in the passing lane and causing it to be slower than the travel lane. Passed as many cars as I could safely on the right, and did not crash.

First time for everything

Took her out on the freeway this evening... Never did that before. Been driving for 20 years and this is my first MT. Finally getting the hang of it. Did not crash.

Sold my '15 FRS...So no crashing while I'm w/o one, lol. Plan to get a '17+ BRZ PP in the fall when I get back from Germany..I've got a Civic for a DD so no need to rush on the purchase, plus I might find a used '18 (there were a few updates, notably the 7" radio/carplay, etc)

Congratulations, I will be taking her out from Monday since 290 all lanes have been opened up. Two days I will have some practice in the streets. By the way, gas pedal/throttle is very sensitive.

What's up with CERTIFICATE insecure warning issues from website?

Thanks! Yes the throttle is quite sensitive for me too, lol. My daily is a Tundra so switching back and forth has proven interesting. I haven't ventured onto 290 yet... I'm using W. Little York to BW8 to avoid it for now. Good luck on Monday! I drove to work for the first time today and it was less stressful than I had worried.

Are you using Chrome? The new version is throwing warnings up on a lot of sites. Google is trying to force https on everyone.

I drove to work today and there were few instances of slight jerk when accelerating need some tweaking with gas pedal and releasing clutch and to my surprise there was an accident and traffic I wasn't panicked though. Reached safely to work and evening could be smoother. I love how other drivers take of use "Learners" More later.

Today was my 3rd day and I am getting better with gear changes now, I still have issues with slow start from 1st and jerk and I get nervous from impatient drivers from behind honking. I noticed that from 1st taking off I need to raise throttle to 1500 RPM or else stalls could be less power?

I have some clicking noise under the hood from both sides and I barely have 180 miles on it, noticed this while driving on freeway. What could be that noise?
