Cut down my 2 color choices to red or hot lava

what looks better in person?, im looking for a head turning sporty color, and i know both will do it, i have seen red frs person, but not hot lava, so how does hot lava look in person. which shows their line the best

if i were to choose between the 2 i would choose hot lava

more unique than your typical "red sports car"

i've seen both in person

Lava. More head turning, more sparkle and flake, less likely to fade over time to pink like red does under constant sun. Lighter colors pop the lines more and highlight shadows better for contrast.

+1 for hot lava, very cool with sunnyday.
You can flip a coin: heads for hot lava or tails for red

Hot lava looks great in the sun, so-so on a cloudy day.

It is definitely more distinctive than red. I was torn between hot lava and ultramarine. Seeing the hot lava on a cloudy day sealed the deal for ultramarine.

Hot lava if you want to stand out in the crowd!

I'm not sure if this is 100% accurate, but I think some individuals said that exterior modding is a lot easier with Firestorm to achieve the look you want as red pretty much goes with anything.

Thumbs up

+1 Firestorm...

They are both great choices imo, but I love how the red exterior really comes together with all of the interior accents. Again..both colors are beautiful on this car, and I will say that i'm sure there are more red cars out there than orange cars. YEAH I SAID ORANGE, SUP LAVAS.

Sometimes lava can look funky..

Go to the dealership, see it for yourself, and decide on how you feel in the moment not on some strangers' opinions on the web. Your taste is your taste, your money is your money.

I did not intend to get the hot lava, but it was the only one the dealership still had available (this was when they had first come out and were pretty tough to get ahold of). I will say though, I have very much grown to love this color. I was originally going to just wrap it, but I can't actually bring myself to do that.
It looks very nice in person, and what's even more intriguing is that the color takes on a different personality in low light that in daylight. It's a darker, subtle orange in the evenings/nights.

I think a lot of other cars that come in a similar burnt orange color kind of missed the mark, but this color actually looks very nice. Just beware, you will be very limited in the color choices on your wheels, etc.

I do like the firestorm color, but i've seen much better reds on other cars.

im just planning on changing the wheels to black and tinting the windows, and imo black looks better on orange than it does on red xD

Agree that the orange looks great in the sun, not so much in other conditions. Almost goes salmon IMHO.. So I would go with red.

You may also want to think about resale.. probably easier to sell a red.

You'll love the car in both colors.

I've got a Hot Lava as well....and when I walk up to it in a parking lot - day night sunny cloudy, doesnt matter - I cant help but think to myself...damn...thats one sexy ride. My wife who admittedly hates orange cars loves this one...just something about it that pops. That said I've seen one of the blue BRZ's around (is that Ultramarine??) and that one has some serious pop to it also. The black, white, and grey doesnt have the same effect, at least not for me. Havent even seen a red one bombing around yet...so no thoughts for ya there :\
