DIY: 86 Tightening Torque Values

Having as many torque vaules in one place as possible will hopefully save time for some of you do-it-your-selfers.

Please add or correct errors in the list I have compiled by posting the following and I will update the list :

• proper name for part/best description of part
• torque value (please convert to ft/lbs whenever possible)
• location of the part
• post image of and/or link to schematic, diagram, drawing, illustration, figure, etc...

I'm looking for the subframe bolt torque value...can anyone help me out with that?

Also, I've come across some information that is conflicting... Is the torque value for the strut tower bar nuts (front) 17 ft/lbs or 11.8 ft/lbs?

GrimmSpeed recommends 12 ft/lbs, but I torqued mine to about 20. No problem with the bolts, but I wouldn't go any higher than that. Otherwise, SNAP!!!

17 is probably good and tight and also nice and safe.

Correct value is 12 ft/lbs according to the repair manual.

Those are the bolt grade markings.

There are several sub-frame bolts. Which ones are you referring to?

I understand that but most references I've come across have the classes as 4.6, 5.8, 8.8, 9.8, etc... I have not come across the ones I posted above.
