BTW I'm not really comparing it to G35, just want to have a comfortable ride.
Found a guy on Kijiji yesterday (said he is a member here) and picked up a set of used 2017 struts/shocks for $250 (front and rear). Will install once it gets warmer. Hopefully this will help! |

So I installed the new 2017 struts and I can already feel the difference. The ride is still a bit rough but much better than before.
Definitely worth $250. |

Are you using OEM 2017 springs as well?

I went from oem performance package Sachs tuned struts/shocks to Tein Basis Z coilovers and the ride softened up some. I don't think I'd recommend the PP Sachs for a softer ride, they were fairly stiff.

Hey OP, I've been dealing with the same thing myself. The more I drive my BRZ, the less I like it. Ended up picking up a 350z as well and can't seem to find ANY reason to keep my BRZ.
As far as comfort goes, I've been taking a look at air ride kits. It's WAY above your budget, but i've heard the ride doesn't get much better (as long as you don't go the cheap route). Should note that I'm on BC DR Coils and 18's with not-very-soft tires, but nonetheless, I catch air in my BRZ on the daily and it's not a very good daily driver. Hope those 2017 Shocks work out for you! |
