There were a couple of recent reports on here about the pipe touching (slightly) against the oil pan. Are you guys aware of this issue and will there be any changes to your jig for more clearance?

I was one of the few with this issue. And yes they are aware. I am getting a replacement header from them soonish hopefully! They said they changed the jig so now that they will not touch the pan. Plus they come with a lifetime warranty. If they do touch, you can explain the situation with JDL and ask for another. That is what happened to me.

Eagerly awaiting your dual cat back design, do you think we will see this by summer? I am convinced I need your uel header. Keep up the wonderful work!

Brilliant....good to know they're aware and adjusted the jig to solve this issue.

Great if they provide replacement header should I encounter any issues, but I'd rather not have any issues in the first place simply because of the hassle of shipping it back to them and waiting for replacement to arrive. Plus I'd have to pay twice for installation time because of this.

But yea their UEL header is sexy as hell and definitely on top of my "to-buy" list for 2014.

Installing the headers was not too hard of a task. Took me about an hour. It was harder to install the overpipe than the headers imo. If you can do it, you can save some cash!!

We had 2 and replacements were finished this weekend. Just need to surface all the flanges and they will ship. You will have tracking in a bit

imo Hardest part was removing the heatshield from the overpipe (stripped rusty bolts)
the rest is a piece of cake!

Yup, once you get the shields off, taking the overpipe takes a bit of force but it slides right out. I bet if I had more help, putting on new headers would take 1/2 an hour maybe.

Hey, just wondering if your not catted front pipe is compatible with the Invidia N1 catback? And the price? Thank you.

As long as your catback currently works with the OEM system then it will work with ours. $259 on the non catted pipes http://jdlautodesign.net/shop/ft86-race-front-pipe/

shielding?

I've got a JDL UEL header coming this week, along with the JDL overpipe and catted front pipe. I'll have to get my local shop to install for me as don't really have the facilities to do this correctly at home.

Here's my question...all the shielding that comes with all the stock pipes, am I correct in assuming that all that shielding goes in the trash when installing the 3 new pieces? I know my shop is going to ask and I don't want to appear to be a dumbass. Or maybe it's too late?

Thanks!
