We took the granddaughters up to Crystal Mountain today. A 60 minute drive got us up to 4,000 feet, the last 2,000 feet was by gondola. The girls had a good time.

Man, I was way off. Robert Hegyes, the Italian Hungarian who played Juan Epstein. He's the only Epstein that comes to my mind.

Wow, yeah. Waaaaay off. Your references are so old, they're from the ePleistocene.

When you return to the present, we'll welcome you back.

One of Epstein's victims tried to run, but he Kotter.

I'm going to hell for that last pun.

I do know who Horshack is, but WBK is not my favorite show.

Did you all fit in your FR-S?
Great view, cute kids I wish I could see my grandchildren in one day. My kids are smaller than these..

Thanks.

Unfortunately, the granddaughters outgrew and outnumbered the backseat of the FR-S, so we had to take the family sedan.

It is nice to have great views within an hours drive of home. The mountain in the background is Mt Rainier (14,000 feet); we were on top of Crystal Mountain, at a mere 6,800 feet.

Hopefully, you will have grandkids to enjoy someday. -

Popping over to the in-laws today, my mother-in-law's brother passed away. She was from a family of five (3 brothers, all gone).

Life is short and it becomes more apparent when you find yourself attending more funerals then weddings etc...

So, we were talking about fitness/weight the other day. By most standards, I am not fat and never really have been (unless you read the "official" weight/BMI charts, then I'm obese), but a few years ago I was at the heaviest I had ever been. I weighed 225-230, but again, I'm 6'3" so not massive around. Even so, wasn't comfortable with it. I've been trying to get fit off and on since freshmen year of college but I always fall out of the habit.

About 2 and a half years ago I started going to the gym with a trainer and did that for a year. At my best I couldn't get below 212lbs to save my life, and then I ended up falling out of the habit for a whole year. A couple of months ago I started back, but my weight had actually dropped to 207lbs. I set my goal to a modest 200lbs.

Well, today the scale said 200.1lbs. I always feel like I'm working on a very thin margin since I don't have a ton to lose, so I'm actually pretty impressed I lost those 7lbs, even if they're really not that much at all.

You're so old, you probably didn't get the Welcome Back Kotter reference.
