Sweet. I'm going to document it so you will know if l get it done, how I did it, and if it's California leagal when completed. It's not going to be cheap the way I'm doing it. Just a heads up.

Excellent Zer0. Thanks for sharing your experiences along the way. Should be quite an adventure.
Question? What Oem vehicle are the catalytic converters and exhaust manifolds off? Regarding cost, I can see it’s going to be healthy. The first deposit to my LS swap fund was $10k. I hope it could be done for under $20k. I guess we’ll see. |

They are Zo6 manifolds, and cats. It's going to be an LT4 swap. I'm pulling out tripple your first deposit, and with the parts I'm using I'm hoping that's close to what I need.

I'm going with a aftermarket drysump system which adds 5-6k. Plus Aim MXG display, and a smartwire power distribution module to eliminate fuses and relays. It will be able to be done cheaper than my way for sure.

Excellent. I only have two more payments.
I looked at a bunch of zo6 and brz under carriage pics and looks really similar through the cats. |

I haven't looked at to many. The Zo6 cats look easier to make room for. We will see. I wanted the dry sump LT4, but no one makes a dry sump swap pan yet. I looked into aftermarket systems, and found dailey engineering. They make a nice low profile setup. Hopefully it will save fabrication time.

Catalytic converters arrived along with the exhaust manifolds, and oem filter housing with intake tube. Ordered the dry sump system, and will be ordering the engine tomorrow.

Engine and all components needed for mock up have been ordered. When I receive the parts I will be posting in my stagnant build thread, and start a swap thread focusing on the gen 5 lt4 California legal swap. Hopefully

I understand the love for the car, but the amount of money ppl are dumping into these engine swaps, if your after more power I would feel its just better to get a V8 based car....
