Has anyone tried running 295/30R18 on a 18x9.5 +45 rim in the back? I'm currently running 255/35R18 on a 18x8.5 +45 rim and have Tein Flex A CSG's with about 0.4" drop and have had no issues so far. It looks like there's about an inch of room left before the 255 touches the springs, but that was a guestimate on a lift at full droop.

IMO a 295/30 is too big for a 9.5. It BARELY fits on a 18x10"

ESR SR05 18x9.5

Just picked up the wheels and have some BC Racing DS coilovers on the way. What would be the widest tire I could safely run without fitment issues?

What about if I were to get the fenders rolled?

Anyone know if any of the BBKs would fit behind this wheel?

Thank you for the help!

I would read through this thread.
https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41083

265/35 is the largest most guys run. Then because of diameter, most do not run a 275/35, and go straight to a 285/30. (which is really close to stock diameter.

Additionally, they are also running a little bit lower offset 18x9.5 wheels, like +38.

Good luck.

anyone know if 17x9 +45 with a 255/40r17 tire will have any fitment issues in the rear on stock suspension or lowered on RCE yellows?

Yes, it will rub in the front with stock struts. Might want to look into a +35 offset or coils or you can run a 3-5mm spacer up front

You may already know...

3mm is the thickest spacer recommended for OEM length wheel studs. But, I have read a few posts where guys are running a 5mm spacer on stock length wheels studs without any issues. Still, I would recommend ARP extended studs.

That is why I'm using a very uncommon 4mm spacer, which i heard leaves enough turns/threads to be fine and that 5th mm is what puts it over the top to not have enough.

I got the wheels finally! As soon as I figure out how to post pictures I will throw them up.
I got the Focal F55 wheels in black, 17x8 and left the tires on and they stretched. Looks great but idk about the tires with winter coming and all of the curbs on my daily commute

Is it true that tire size 225/40/18 has a difference of 0.47 in. (1.9%) from stock diameter while the larger tire size 245/35/18 only has a difference of 0.13 in. (0.5%)? I was on this tire size calculator website and found that pretty interesting. I’ve decided on wheel choice finally just debating 17s or 18s. I’d like to stay as close to stock as possible for speedometer accuracy, overall height etc.
