Sharing an opinion along the lines of "this approach failed me" is not the same thing as "this approach failed me and it's snake oil." That is the only reason I responded.

Like I said previously, I'll most likely upgrade the clutch while I've got the transmission pulled. I haven't done much looking for SCs but I've heard good things about HKS.
Yeah you should be fine. Unless you have massive power goals.. (Which be warned once the mod bug bites, no amount of power will ever be enough, you think if only i had 200whp ill be happy, then i just need 240whp, ok fine 280whp ill be done. Then you realize you need 400whp+ and you might be happy for a little while, but its still a fun journey) With a clutch up to 220ft lbs should be pretty reliable on the trans especially from a centrifugal SC like hks.

Okay so, I've changed my mind on some things. I'm still going with a transmission rebuild from Jack's. I found a really good deal on a 2017 86 transmission and was unsure if the fitment is exact for my 2015 FR-S. Can anyone confirm that there will be no issues if I get this transmission sent to Jack's for a rebuild to install in my 2015?

In regards to the supercharger, I'd really like power down low and and up through middle gears. I've been doing some reading and it looks like a twin screw style supercharger is going to be the best bet for that scenario. Edelbrock seems to be the go to, but man is it pricey in comparison to the other options. With that being said, I think the Edelbrock is probably the best looking of the options that I've looked at. Thoughts?

My thoughts are "mmm, cherry poptarts...." and "go check out the Forced Induction threads." But also, I've been trying to learn more about electric superchargers (the good ones, not the ebay knockoffs) as an alternative to a $5k+ belt-driven supercharger.

I know I'm late to the party here but I will tell you that I was at 280hp to the wheels for 5 ish years and being absolutely awful to my car, drag, drift, street, autox and the trans didn't give me any issues.... until I went E85 and 370 wheel... now 4th gear just can't handle the load.

But I think I'll be looking into the Jack's setup =/
