Sluggish/Stalling After aFe Intake Install

Installed my aFe Takeda intake last night, had the battery disconnected the whole time. When I finished, I let it run for about 5-10 minutes then turned it off.

This morning, it was light raining. My lower end power seemed like it took more gas to jump up the RPM's. After leaving the highway when I got closer to work... I got completely bogged it felt like. Around 2k rpm I had no power and then randomly the car would jump, and the rpm needle was bouncing a little.

Do you think I have a loose connection or the MAF sensor needs to be checked? Did I not let it run long enough after the install? Just thinking through what it could be. Any ideas from anyone who has the aFe Takeda installed or experienced this, let me know what I should check. Thanks!

Reset the ECU again, and drive it afterwards, also double check all connections, and make sure there is no loose vacuum hoses. Double check that little hose on the right before the throttle body.

I'd check to make sure everything is connected and tight. I didn't reset my ECU after installing mine and it seems to be working fine.

Thanks guys, hopefully I get home from work in one piece. I'll check what I can with bare hands. Last I looked the MAF was secure, and the hose on the side as well. I will double check them again, and check everything again when I get home along with resetting the ECU. Appreciate the help!

after you reset the ECU (taking off the negative line from the battery) turn the ignition and let it idle for 10 mins WITHOUT PUSHING THE ACCELERATOR. It will be like that for the first 50-100miles. It'll improve the more miles you put on it. Happened to me too. Like the statements above, double check all connections make sure nice and tight.

Problem is fixed! I retightened everything when I got home. Made sure there were no leaks on any piece, from the filter, to the throttle body. The crank hose is in snug, and the MAF is fine. I had the negative terminal unplugged for 20 minutes roughly. Plugged it back in and let the car idle for 15 minutes, then went for a drive.

Car is running great and I feel the power gains already. Does feel a bit different on take offs but I feel the power when hitting the gas.

Thanks Jeremy and the rest of you guys for all the input. Absolutely loving the Intake now!
