Sad to report, another Hyperblue has made it to the salvage block.

Only a 1,000 miles on the odometer too, what a shame.
But it does look like it wouldn't be to hard to rebuild.

Hopefully it wasn't because they just finished the break in and it got out of hand. I wonder what they hit or got hit by.

The car I lost (#585) is being rebuilt. I got contacted by the person that ended up buying it because they wanted to buy my spare key. He even sent me teardown pics. It will live again as a salvage title.

I'm surprised this is enough to total it. Unless there's damage to the engine, this looks like a fairly straightforward rebuild.

Looks like airbags were deployed which usually leads to a total loss ..

Just the driver airbag, very little to replace there. Radiator, AC condenser, radiator support, fans, intake, crash beam, probably the headlights are scratched to shit from the bumper shifting into them, fenders, hood, maybe DRLs or fogs if unlucky... to name some of the stuff. All of this isn't that serious though so there have to be other issues. The site says the engine runs.

Anyone interested in a set of OEM HyperBlue wheels? Tires has 5200 miles. 1 wheel has a minor scratch from a rock, but out side of that they're good. Willing to ship. Comes with TPMS.

Still about a month and a half out for everything to be done and finalized.. But I'm basically on the DL until.

Who did I just see in Ontario, California, heading south on Euclid at 3:51 PM on 4/17? I wasn't in my car, but my brother pointed you out because he knows how rare the HyperBlue is.

Hyper Blue's are getting rarer by the day. Vin #598 is now on a salvage sale. https://www.iaai.com/Vehicles/Vehicl...oadRecent=True

Hopefully no one was hurt, looks like a side impact job. The sticker on the back is kinda ironic in hindsight.
