Here are some of my favorite shots.

I also think the interior influenced the LF-LC concept.

OP said 60k and Whitigir quoted Tada San saying they couldn't do it for 50k. I don't know what the price will be but if it's that high they need another sportscar to slot in between the two.

No door mounted mirrors or door handles but here you go.

How do they imagine the curved door windows are supposed to go up and down?
Stumps me.

All I can imagine is all the runoff from the windshield pouring in during a light drizzle with the windows down.

Ick.

You have to offer the people who bought a FRS something to move up to when they trade in. Most people who are buying $25k entry level sportscars aren't going to be able to turn around and drop 60 large on a supra but they could stretch and make the payments on a 370Z/V8 Mustang/STi/EVO.
Maybe they could answer my prayers and make a new MR2. Mid 30s is the perfect price point for a mid engined sporty car IMO, Lotus is way too expensive for the terrible build quality you get, Porsches are at too high a price point to be relatively pure sports cars (that leather trim is admittedly pretty nice looking though), and the ZZW30 and AW10 MR2s were too cheap for their own good imo. The SW20 nailed the overall design criteria but now it's getting close to 25 years old and has turd pile engines (the 3S-GTE is heavier than a 2GR-FE).

With over 30k to play with they could justify a proper engine, a non-rattly interior, attractive bodywork, and have money to spare for other modern features.

rumor on CL is that the LF-LC (SC successor) will be built on the next gen 2015 LS platform. the car will be called the Lexus LC and will be a $100k+ car.

the "new Supra" seems likely to be co-developed with BMW.
That is what I'd think too. But then I don't want the Supra to have an I4 if it costs 60K. It must then have a V6, what is not improbable, as Toyota's new I4 Turbo is to make a debute in the Lexus NX, and later new V6 and V8 Turbo might debute in the next Lexus LS. The best would be some NA high-revving (9.5K) V6, hybrid is there for the lack of torque. Just listen to that Porsche V8 in the 918 Spyder, so much better than P1 V8 Turbo (though not bad either for a turbo car).

Pretty much like what they did with the LFA. I think the car would look a lot better with a facelift / new front end. A more production ready interior and lastly door mounted mirrors.

Recall the original 2005 LF-A concept VS the 2007 LF-A II concept VS the 2010 production LFA.

Thanks for the reminder - That LF-A was much uglier as a concept than as a production car (although I still don't think I'd call it the best looking supercar).

Looks like Toyota/Lexus are quietly punching out a more sporty line of cars. Pretty dramatic change in tone from the previous decade.

Toyota has already said 3 sports car (not 4). One above the the 86/FR-S and a smaller one below it.
