I disagree, I can spot cheapo looking winjets a mile away.

I thought I saw during one of the videos for installing the boot you have to remove the handle anyway.

EDIT: I couldn't find them remove the handle during boot install, but it is done during Cusco Spin Knob (Drift Button Install) video on youtube. But at least you could do so without taking apart a majority of the center console.
The boot was easy to remove. I just popped the old boot out and replaced with the one with the red stitching.

As for the handle, the only diy i saw on here shows that you need to remove to whole assembly to replace. I'll have to look in the Cusco Spin Knob diy on youtube. At work atm and can't access youtube.

Haha. You're probably right; I've only seen the winjets in pics and haven't seen them in person.

Yeah their LEDs aren't nearly as nice looking or bright, and they just don't look as clean/classy as the JDM lights haha.

Has anyone installed clear side markers and found a white led that matches the headlights?

I think the grainy side marker is throwing off the color temp. That and these little bulbs are so inconsistent with advertised temps.

2014 FRS Monogram
6MT in Raven black.

I just paid my deposit but I don't know yet when I'll get it, except I know it's in Vancouver already.

It was pretty hard to find though!

Which side markers did you get? I picked up the helix ones with white leds in the dark smoke color.

I got the OEM ones. I heard of the yellowing on the helix ones.

And I also ordered the VLED 5K white led bulbs. Hopefully, they match the color and brightness.

I'm hoping the yellowing you're talking about are for the clear ones only.

Anyone in the Bay Area looking for a WHITEOUT 6MT? PM for details!

Also...the regional officer spoke to my dad's manager, saying that Scion is considering keeping the Monogram as a "trim level"

This is my dad's dealership's 6th Monogram by the way...

That would suck for those who rushed to get a Monogram and paid MSRP
Luckily I got a decent deal on mine.

Agreed, but I doubt they would do this. This is how Scion works with their special editions instead of trims.

MEH. Limited or not, turbo or not, cheaper or not, it makes no difference to me what the future holds. I love mine and nothing will change that

Releasing the car as a normal trim level wouldn't necessarily lower the price of the car. The price isn't expensive because of the 2K unit limit. It's more expensive because of the extra features.

I agree with that (Obviously, since I bought one), my comment was regarding the price tag!

The fact that it's an "exclusive" release makes it harder to negotiate the price. I guess that was my point. Dealers were less willing to give an edge on the Monogram FRS, as opposed to when I went shopping for a BRZ, for example.
