Foglight replacement help

I was wondering if anyone has replaced the OEM PSX24W foglights with an aftermarket unit. I keep reading horror stories about melted housings and wanted some clarification before I bought an LED replacement.

A customer of ours have installed our HID conversion kit with 6000k bulbs for a few months and have not experienced any issues with heat/melting, etc. We assisted him with the installation, so you may want to PM him to get his opinion/confirmation. His screen name is "jmah88".

Hi Zadkiel,

I installed an HID kit for my fogs and have had no problems!! The color better matches my Headlights at night and I have even better visibility in bad weather conditions! It was pretty easy to install, and the housing units are holding up sturdy, so I dont think you need to worry!

The stock bulbs are essentially 24W brake light bulbs with a fancy base, so a 35W HID kit is still a bit warmer. But It's good to know that someone has done it without issue so far.
