For me, a DD for starter need to have sensible springs rate.
I see a lot of suspension with way over the top springs rate for the FRS.
While that is bearable, it isn't really all that nice especially on a DD.

Then it depends on the damping characteristic you are after.
Better dampers should provide better characteristics for a DD, something that you "feel" but cannot be measured.
Comparing apple to apple if all else remain equal, a more advance damping "could" iron out small fast bumps better (such as those you encounter on freeway everyday), and this lead to an overall better driving experience.

It is all about compliancy and control.
The better dampers should provide compliancy with control.
But of course that depends on how much you want to spend, as well as what feature you want from the suspension to suit your personal preference.

Just the over thinkers I was looking for, thank you. What should I do first in regards to alignment instead of just jumping to some coils. This is a good suspension, how can I make it better and what should my alignment numbers be.

Meanwhile, I'll go look them up.

I had Tein Street Flex coilovers that I used to daily drive on and they were great. The new Flex As I hear are even better. Some features include adjustable ride height, adjustable damping, top mounts included with camber plates up front, and hydraulic bump stops. I'd recommend sending a PM to Counterspace Garage to set you up.

While I agree in part (I have MCA Reds) I strongly suggest not getting any damper, or anything else for that matter, that requires servicing overseas. I've said it before and I'll say it again: you won't appreciate local service until you need it.

Even if it's not down the road, the difference and timeline between shipping east/west coast is far cheaper and faster. I deal with KW service in Cali from time to time for both my own and customer cars and it's really great, and fast. But taking them 30 minutes down the road to Snapdragon is even faster!!

Have you ordered the new CSG Tein Flex A's? Is there a thread that discusses them here?

This video speaks pretty highly if them.

I don’t have them but based on the price point and how they perform, I’d buy them over my RCE T2s

I agree they sound great. How do they compare to the RCE T2s?

I can't compare them directly since I've never had them but what I can say is that a lot of R&D and testing went into the development of the CSG Flex A to extract as much performance as possible. It's a very track capable option for a fraction of the cost of the T2 and it has been proven to perform very well. Maybe @CSG Mike can chime in on some more details?

I believe I'be run a faster lap time at virtually every track I've run on the CSG FLA, than has been run in a similarly prepped RCE T2 car.

It's still only 6k/6k, so super comfy on the street.

Thanks Mike. Is there a thread here for the CSG FLA? I have been following the development on Instagram and FB.

What kind of ride height do you run with those softer spring rates?

I have had 5 sets of coil overs on my car.
Used red top Megan's were nice, good compromise between street and track
Tein Flex A's, best compromise between street and track, very comfortable ride, better than the Megan's.
Currently running Cusco Zero 3 R's, 10k front, 12k rear, daily driving cumfort is compromised, but best setup I have ever had for the track.

Yeah I don't believe you but I definitely expected you to say something like that here. Pretty classic CSG Mike.

I do know you've lied to people about our products in the past in PMs (they were forwarded to me) or conversation. Whether you were just mistaken or doing it intentionally...don't really care. But anything CSG Mike says about our products, especially in comparison to products with his name on them, should be taken with a grain of salt. I don't need or want his biased feedback...we've gotten plenty from pro drivers, wheel to wheel racers, autocrossers, etc.
