weederr33: that's one area those brembos might be better choice. Essex kits are not suggested for places where salt in winters is used on roads (no dustboots/dual piece disks may see corrosion issues). But if you live in warm place / without "salty" winters, imho Essex BBKs are perfectly fine for DD. (With exception, if local MOT inspection rules are too anal to allow their use and pass as street legal, how it's unfortunately here where i live ).

I do, but since I'm in Maryland, as @churchx mentioned, I don't drive it on salty roads. Some people swap back to the stock system at the start of winter as race season is over anyways and at that time can be sent back to Essex for reconditioning.

That's called "tied-selling". In Canada such practice is a violation of the Canadian Competition Act. No one can force you to buy only oem parts. That's ridiculous.
Companies like FRAM would be out of business.

Not yet. Maybe later in the year but I wouldn't hold my breath until 2018 MY.
Just get the Subaru ones?

Been meaning to share a couple more notes on the Brembo GT I posted above which appear to have the same specs as PP Brembos on paper.

PP Brembos should fit with the stock spare tire. Brembo GT do not even fit stock wheels and I had to get 3mm wheel spacers to fit it with my 18x8.5 +42 TWS T66-F. This curse is also the blessing if you relate it to my next note.

Brembo GT feels same as stock under hard braking to maintain brake bias. The main difference would be increased heat capacity as expected due to increased size.

dallas seems to get an ice storm every so often that completely destroys DFW and AA and lasts for days, with passengers stuck there for days as well.

Since I've owned my car I haven't experienced snow. Just really really cold weather a few weeks ago in austin.
