Anyway, this was at Koons Toyota in Arlington, VA and I would recommend going elsewhere.
Thanks for the head’s up! I live in Woodbridge so I’m going to talk to Lustine and Sheehy (closest dealers to me). I have FI so not sure how it’ll go.

Car is back where it belongs. Dropped it off Monday morning at Toyota of Tacoma, they were done this afternoon (Thursday). They didn't put up any resistance or give me any grief about the fact my car is fully caged with a crazy narrow race seat.

The tech was even willing to try and disable the seatbelt chime for me but he couldn't get his device to communicate with my computer - even asked me if I had it flashed or if it was aftermarket, which neither is the case. Other than that, it drives just fine.

Over the weekend I'll get more time to dig into and under it for a closer look at things.

Thanks for the update.

I had my first one-hour "inspection" appointment at Rohrich Toyota in Pittsburgh, so that they could confirm that it needed the work. They confirmed it. They told me the parts would be in in about two weeks, and volunteered that I would get a loaner. They said that they would be happy to put in new plugs cost of parts only and a new throw out bearing, but that would cost parts and some labor (and reflective of the fact that the TOB is right there).

I am weighing whether to get the entire clutch kit including flywheel done while they are in there. The car is regularly launched hard during autocross season, but there are only 45K miles on it.

So far, so good.

If you can swing the spare cash, I'd say do it.
You're going to be mad at yourself if it goes out in the near future and have to pay all that labor
I've been trying to get everyone I've done the recall for to replace it while I'm in it

Wait, you are a tech at a Toyota or Subaru dealer and are actually doing these recalls?
I got some questions...

Edit: Nevermind. Found this post. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=132470
