replacement brembo cotter pins?

So i broke one last night and found out the dealer wants over 5$ for this pins. anyone know a place that sells pins this small? i checked homedepot and they didnt have any this small. 26231FE040 is the item number

That part # is not what I would consider a cotter pin, more of a slide pin or a clip. Cotter pins you typically push thru and bend the ends over.


I would suggest just spending the $5-6 bucks and getting the correct OEM item for this.

oh shit 5 and some change is a "steal", i guess ill get one and a back up for when i manhandle another one and break it. living in the salt belt is great

I don't think living in the salt belt has anything to do with this breaking. I have done dozen of brake jobs on brembo equipped sti/evo with those clips and never broke them on case with 100k+ miles.

it was rusted in and i took needle noses and wiggled it back and forth like a dumbass

Could always look on McMaster Carr but for small individual items like these but shipping usually costs more than the item itself or it comes in large quantities. Unless you buy it from hardware store or dealer individually at a higher price.
