I would get grade 8. You probably won't find them at your average hardware store. You'll probably have to order them from Mr. Metric or other.

I do not have the bolts hence I do not have the bags, I was hoping someone who had this part kept their bags or recorded the part numbers or listing for future reference. |

The part numbers are on the bags in the pic.

Yes, 3 sets of bolt part numbers are there and I can order those, but I still don't have the part numbers for the other 3 sets. If you can make out the part number upside down on the top left and also of the bags underneath the right bolts, please let me know. I can't make them out.

Getting too high a grade can be as bad as or worse than getting too low. Odds are that they are just ordinary, everyday, bolts but if he is concerned then he should get the right ones even if just for peace of mind.

I'm sure they would be the same grade as the ones currently in the car.

Speaking of making sense ...... it seems to me that some folks are dead set on nailing down the drivetrain, suspension and frame on this car so tight, that the car would feel like riding on an empty, steel wheeled, hay wagon on a washboard gravel lane .......

Just need to do what I did when the springs and shocks on my wife's 76 Pacer broke and blew. Jack it up. U bolt a chunk of 4 x 4 on either side of the diff. Lower onto wood. Rode like an old hay wagon but was nice and firm. The drive shaft eventually fell out because there was no flex but you can't have everything.

Oh, special, just want to use the bolts that would have come in the set. Only other recourse would be to buy a new set, get the part numbers, resell the new set as brand new un-installed. But probably take a loss because seems like no one wants these bars... Oh, and just checked japanparts, it's around 457.23 + shipping for a new set...

You can find grade 8 at orchard supply hardware. I used to work at osh. but if osh has them you can for sure find them at home depot or lowes ace etc. hope this helps.
