FRS>BRZ proof positive.
My BRZ has TPMS. Maybe the ones in Canada are defective.

TPMS just aren't law in Canada, from what I've seen some BRZ here have them and some don't. Theres probably no reason behind it other then maybe some logistics thing.

I ended up getting a set of spline drive lug nuts to go along with my recently purchased snow tires on steelies. I'll be using those to mount them. They've got a bit more depth to them, so if there's any difference in how much lug is available vs. stock wheels and lug nuts, that should make up for it.

update, and for future reference.

issue:
-as mentioned, front wheel would not accept the longer lug, while the back can.
-wheel feels very wobbly going above 25

solution:
-my co worker noticed that the front wobbles quite a bit while standing outside
-took off the front wheel off, and the problem was because I had aftermarket enkei rf1, it had a hub centric ring. while doing the switch to winter steelies, both back rf1 wheel came out clean with the ring, but both the fronts did not.
-I was not very sharp and did not noticed the ring was still there while putting in the steelies
-luckily it does not look like I damaged the ring and can be salvage when I put in the rf1 back in after winter.
-now all front and back accept the longer lug

thanks everyone who have chimed in.
