It is currently. I worked for GM decades ago. I am also not 100% sure it was actually 'Z71', but something like that. We had a few bs designations we gave out stickers for. |

Probably something else then. My '04 Suburban has a Z71 package pretty much as described. I agree stickers sell though.

I'm not at all saying these are not capable cars or don't DESERVE a badge. However I do think that it is not genuine to put a badge on a car that didn't come with it unless you have done a 1:1 upgrade to the version that matches the badge. You of course can do whatever makes you happy to your own car, I'm just farting out my own opinion. I like to think a badge means all the associated parts are on that car (with in reason and give or take minor cosmetic parts). Anything else is the equivalent of buying a 2 series BMW and slapping an M badge on. |

I actually removed my FRS badge for a cleaner look. I think debadging can look really cool. Not all badges look good. |

fwiw, i have the oem badges but no brz badge
my opinion: unless your VIN says brz tS, no STi badge for you (the jdm tS has STi badges from factory). you can make your brz exactly like a tS... quicker than a tS. but the VIN # dont lie Last edited by HaXx; 06-18-2019 at 09:33 PM. Reason: typo |

And this is exactly how the Alfa Romeo badge made it's way onto the back of my truck. I wanted all the badges gone, but they had alignment holes...

Hmmm...I'd like to de-badge my BRZ as I recently put a tS rear badge but I don't know if debadging the two OEM rear logos is easy, can I use only blow-dryer and dental floss or do I need professional heatgun etc?

Why not try something different and try de-carring* the badge?
*Verb. Opposite of adding a car to something.

I am not sure how easy is to remove them, but it should not be that hard with a dental floss and a good blow-dryer. Personally, I switched to de-badge when I changed the rear trunk. The new one didn't have any badges.

^it is if a $4 emblem defines the entire vehicle!
I pulled them off with a plastic razor blade, more to get under an edge than to scrape them, and then used my finger nails to take off the adhesive.

I was going to put a STI badge on my 86 but didn't, I didn't want to risk broken ringlands..
Or am I doing it wrong????
