Funny story... I was driving by the mall today and saw a Veloster to my right and a current generation Viper with huge color keyed GT-style wing to my left. My head spent more time turned right. The aero styling has a more finished look than the BRZ/FR-S. It could be a modern version of the CRX with some suspension tuning. I'd pick it if shopping for an FF, even with its drawbacks...

I'd say go for it. Everyone is saying get another car but hey this would be a fantastic first car. 5 star crash rating, handles really well, doesn't have a shit ton of power. Don't listen to everyone else and do it. It's def a lovely car to own

hey Miguel, born and raised in San German PR here. Get the FR-S really as the saying goes... "A quien Dios se la dio, que San Pedro se la bendiga"

There's no need to turn down "stuff" just because other people "think" its better for you. I was raised in a different setting than you. My parents could not afford to give me stuff like this. I learned some tought lessons because of it. I have friends who wrre as fortunate as you and are today amazing individuals. Nobody knows your situation better than you. Also, i'ts funny that a lot of people here think this car is the only thing given to you in your life easy. You are already who you are, either a brat who believes diserves everything, or a young man who feels very fortunate to be in this situation and appreciates it. Getting this car or not won"t change a thing.

Get the BRZ. You will love this car from the moment you test drive it. Also, it will be one of only a very few in PR (I have a friend in Humacao who got it in Silver).

Good luck in your endeavours.

If you can afford this car (or parents willing to pay for it), get it. If you fuck up and crash, or whatever, that's on you. It's not because of the car you drive it's because of you as a person.

I say take whatever free passes and handouts come your way, and let those people who want to "make their own way, I never take handouts, blah blah" keep talking to make themselves feel good.

U asked,
MY answer:Get the FR-S
It may not be the fastest car out there but,it certainly is one of the best handling & really a fun car to drive.

As Switchlanez has posted Carlos Lago review of the Veloster Turbo, take the time to look at Carlos' review of the FR-S. Also, test drive both cars yourself. Personally, I would sooner pick a Genesis over a Veloster, but, I would pick an FR-S over all of them, but, I am not you and you need to know what is right for you. Your own driving style and needs will dictate what is best. Do you want a useable back seat? Do you want to be looked at because people are thinking "What is that odd car?" or "What is that cool car?" Do you care more about straight line performance? Or do you want a car that devours corners? No one can tell you what to do, but, if you are looking for an opinion, I can say that it would not be a hard decision for me (I find the Veloster hideous (turbo or no turbo)).

I was originally going to get a Veloster Turbo but fell in love with the 86. My wife is now getting the Veloster Turbo (arrives on Monday) so I'll be able to play with both cars, but the 86 will be remaining my car!!!

Get the Veloster, live in ignorance. Then come on here and insult FRS drivers because it's "slow".

Win at life
