CravenSpeed Product Launch: GR86 Short Shifter

Hey guys, I am super excited to finally share our first big launch for the GR86. It's been a long development process for our short shifter but I think the end result is worth the wait! I'll let you guys check out the website to get all of the details, but we ended up with a 30% reduction in throw. I highly recommend visiting the product page on a mobile device so you can check out the shifter in AR!

These are available now with free US shipping for $350

That looks pretty cool.
Very interesting decision with the reverse lockout. I personally prefer the feel of a the stock reverse lockout, but at least a push-down-to-reverse is better than BMW's style of push-left-of-first "lockout".

Two questions:
  1. Can you replace the knob with something else? It looks like the knob is threaded on, would any knob work? Suggestions on base diameter to be flush with the rest of the shifter?
  2. Will this work on the first gen cars? If not, would you offer a version for the first gen cars?

1.The end of the shaft is threaded M12x1.25
2.That I do not know yet, but we are looking into it.

Hey guys, happy to announce that we have re-launched the shifter after some extensive durability testing. We also posted part 1 of an in-depth blog about our testing process.

How hard would it be to make a gen 1 version of this shifter?

And a nitpick - the shifter doesn't show up for the 2022+ BRZ, only for the GR86. I doubt it wouldn't fit a gen 2 BRZ, so you might want to make sure it shows when searching parts for it.

Is there a reason to suspect the BRZ would be different from the GR? It's admirable that you want to confirm, but except the few known differences between the two cars (front knuckle, rear sway bar attachment), they should be identical.

And what about a gen 1 version? From what I've seen of other aftermarket shifters gen 1 and gen 2 are not the same, but the differences are not that big.
