Clear Bra

Anyone got any suggestions in the SF Bay Area for clear bra? Thinking about getting my RS1 protected from chips. I got quoted $750 for front bumper, front portion of the hood, and fenders. Is that a reasonable price or are there any other quality shops that can do similar pricing.

Thanks!

Don't do half hood. The line will bother you. Do the whole hood. That price is reasonable. Expect pre-cut and not hand cut at lower prices. Also depends which brand.

The whole hood, side mirrors, fender, bumper I got quoted $1350. You do make a good point about the line if I do half-hood - just another thing to think about. I'll inquire about the brand, but I do remember the guy saying that everything isn't pre-cut and that it's all one piece.

Update: The brand being used is Suntek. Anyone heard of this brand before? I'm a little concerned of yellowing and contamination in the long run.

I got my bumper done at Mr Tint for about $500. I got Xpel Ultimate. Its a bit more pricey than 3m or Suntek , but Ive heard good things about it and just went with it.

I already had half the hood and fenders come with the car. Honestly the line isnt noticeable unless your near the car. But eh , the entire front hood would have costed.

So just the bumper alone cost you $500?

I also got my windows tinted , so I am not sure about the split up(Need to check the receipt).

I think the 3M Clear Bra for Bumper was only 350$. They did a pretty good job , you can call them for a free quote. Only problem was they dont do the service on weekends. So Its a bit of pain , since I had to get my friend to drop me at work.

If you do plan on going there , theres a 10% discount for referrals. So Just say a fellow RS1.0 owner referred you I guess lol

i had part of the hood covered on several of my other cars... after a few years unless you are meticulous about cleaning/detailing there will be stuff (dust, dirt, wax) caught on the edge and it will be very visible. So when I got my BRZ front bumper done I opted to skip the hood altogether. The design of the bumper and hood is such that I feel like the bumper takes the brunt of the possible damage. No regrets and saved a bunch of money by not doing the hood.
