How did you get your overlay to look like that? I picked up a Kiwi BT OBD and the default gauge overlays in Harry's are not great... |

Track: Red Star Raceway, South Africa [anticlockwise]
Car: Toyota 86 Mods: Vortech SC low boost, camber bolts, 225/45R17 RE11S semis Notes: Minimal traffic, perfect conditions. Tried to beat my PB of 2m17.8 from 2 years ago, but came up 0.3 secs short, two laps on the trot. At 64, maybe I'm getting too old to get better. Ha-ha!! But still immense fun!! 2013 FRS at CMP NASA SE HPDE1
Track: CMP
Car: FRS 2013 Event: NASA SE HPDE1 MODS: Camber bolts, G-loc R-10 pads and Falken RT615K+ on OEM rims Notes: Last few laps after I’d cooled my tires for a lap. Best was 1:57.18. First half of session I was glued to higher HP cars with no chance of passing on the straights so I slowed to get a gap. I was closing on them again at the end. Thanks. Worst part is I had two spares at home. I almost packed one as mine had been grinding third and fourth for a while and for whatever reason didn't pack it.

Track: Ridge Motorsports Park
Car: 2017 BRZ PP Event: Turn2 lapping MODS: JDL UEL, Delicious tune, CSG Spec FLA, GT Radial SX2 245/40/17 (brand new), Winmax W5 pads Lapt Time: 2:09.33 Notes: Second time at this track. First time with new tires/suspension/pads. Was still getting used to the pads, and I don't think they were fully bedded in. If you guys have a minute, I'd be very interested in any thoughts you guys have on how to improve my time. I'm very much a novice, and have only 2 track days under my belt in this car. I had a best time of 2:09.33, which I felt could have been at least a 2:08 or 2:07 given that I heavily understeered around T6 on that lap. Virtual best was 2:03.xx if that means anything at all. I think I was something like 10-15 seconds faster than when I was on stock tires/suspension in cooler conditions. Not a good comparison, but it felt like a different experience altogether. 1) Brake later into T1/T2/T6 2) Downshift into 3rd going up the hill towards T3 (unless I can hang onto revs to hold 4th) 3) Wait to turn in on the T6 to avoid early apex 4) Earlier/more power out of 8A 5) Slightly later braking into 11 (at the curb if I can) 6) Go down to 2nd for 13-14-15 to get more power onto the straight. Definitely feel like I'm in the wrong part of the powerband here. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAOet7l131g[/ame] |

This isn't my video - I just wanted to share as it's a lap in an 86 on the most iconic race track in Australia, Mount Panorama. The video doesn't do it justice but it is really steep up and down the mountain. The drop at 1.35 in the video is called The Dipper and is downright scary. It's a public road and even at 30km/h you crap your pants. The photo below tells the story. |

Track: New Jersey Motorsports Park - Thunderbolt
Car: 2013 FRS Event: NASA Northeast MODS: See build thread in signature Lap Time: 1:36.5 Notes: This is my second time at this track so I am still experimenting with lines and what gear to be in where. You will notice me touching the shifter and processing that throughout the lap. It is a novice move but I had it ironed out by the end of the day. Also worth mentioning: I am on Maxxis RC1s that are 1.5 yrs old on the wear bars.....I should prob buy new tires. Any comments on a line to try or on how to improve at this track is welcomed. Fun note: check out the 1:36.07 predicted lap time as I come out of the octopus. I left a lot of time on the table.
