I predict that a vinyl wrap wouldn't last one winter on @Tcoats car.

Have you seen the "coating" it gets ......

Yep, in his area, I suspect they use a combination of sulfuric, hydrochloric and nitric acids all mixed with fermented beet juice ...... to de-ice roads.....

Yeah it's the new 3M gloss flip psychedelic, and the roof and side stripes, front lip are KPMF Morpheus black. It totally changes in full sun. In the shade it's just silver. It changes from moment to moment depending on how you look at it and how much sun there is.

That looks amazing! It can go from flat gray to holographic. Nice work.

Now, that reminds me of a back-in-the-day story.

I was working at our Western Research Center in Richmond, CA.

A part of the complex was a pilot plant.

One day I saw this fire engine red, 1956 Ford Pickup, with chromed, reversed rims, with a for sale sign in the window, heading down to the plant.

I walked down there and ask this Mexican kid how much he was asking for it.

He said $800. It had a small block Chevrolet V-8 in it and a floor shift ..... NO rust. The teen-ager came out in me ..... I couldn't resist.

I went to the bank and drew out $800 in cash and handed it to him, and he signed over the title.

OK, the part you have been waiting for.

It had a wide band of "flip flop" tape all around the body ........ which I promptly removed before I drove it home.

So, I reckon some folks have taken the "flip flop" tape thing to a whole new level ......

THE END

On that wrap, during sunny day, is there any kind of glare/ bright reflective light that comes off (radiates) that color ( sort of like if it was a chromed color) ?

Reason why I ask, is if so then that can be a safety issue to yourself and other drivers around you. I remember Dupont had that color-shift color (not hologram in nature like your set up, but it was like a chameleon color change) , but I don't think that had any bad reflective property to it

A man of your station in life does not need that "look at me" wrap. I drive a boring-looking white car for reason, although I guess a car that changes color could be useful as well, other than the cops looking for a car that changes color.

Nope, no more glare than any shiny paint. I had a polished Al hood on my other car that was a mirror finish and even that didn't have any glare that sunglasses cant take care of.

why be boring? Plus with this vinyl it really only shows the colors under "Full Sun". Even part shade and its mostly silver/grey. which is more stealthy than the bright red it was before.
