the big toyota dealer i stopped at in Vallejo had two 17s...decked out with TRD wheels/exhaust etc...BOTH automatics.

i told the guy i wanted a subie b/c PP, he says "yea but do they offer two years of free maintenance?"

Yeah...but screw letting the dealer mechanics work on your car. They pawn off work to unlicensed mechanics all the time.

First two years are usually just oil changes, air and cabin air, and tire rotations anyway. It is nothing you can't do on your own.

And possibly towards the end of your warranty service, brake fluid exchange - which is probably just a siphon tube into the reservoir.

What is surprising is when I asked him when he was going to get a PP in stock, He said the STI parts aren't available yet.... I cleared it up by telling him that I'm not interested in anything but the PP. He was oblivious at the package entirely and thought I was talking about some cosmetic options. I explained there is a package that includes dampers, wheels, and breaks for about 1,200 bucks and he said he would call me back.

Should I look into a new sales rep or dealership? It's gotta be super easy for a sales rep to get a sale like mine as I already know what I want. I know these models are new, but if your calling to make a sale the least you can do is do some homework.
since it isn't coming out until december they'll have no clue. If it were a Forester or an Outback, and sometimes a Crosstrek they'd know everything about it, but most subaru dealers hate the BRZ with the passion of a burning sun.

Placed my order today for a 2017 with the PP and got a great deal.

It did take about two weeks and many dealers before I found someone to give me exactly what I wanted though.

Now the wait begins...

Dear,

Does anyone know a lot of more about future 2018 BRZ tS? I read that only 300 units will be made. Is it true?

2018 Subaru BRZ tS - news and release date.

There is zero official statement of a tS coming to the US at all. The article that you linked is based upon one that motoring.au first wrote back in 2014 (I haven't tried to find it but it should still exist). The car blogs and clickbaits just keep recycling the same old info about a US version and just move the year out each time. The original 300 that you mention was for the JDM only and that was last year. Don't hold your breath on a USEM version since it is not likely to ever happen.

I'm being told Feb delivery for the PP cars if I order now. Mind sharing what you paid?

Same here...Dealer said February, but could be in January as well. I got mine (WRB Limited 6mt w/PP) for invoice (Subaru Friends & Family discount) plus I'll get another $500 off for my Owner Loyalty Incentive from owning two other subies.

Question, has anyone who ordered one with a PP received a VON or VIN yet? I have not...

first 3 oil changes and inspections within warranty period are typically free at subaru.

Speaking about the Subaru free maintenance, Just wanted to add that this is mostly true for west coast. We don't get those offers here's on the east side, can't say for the Carolina down to Florida, but VA up to CT you have to buy the maintenance separately, unfortunately for us nothing is free unless something was agreed upon during purchase. This is from solid data surveyed on the forums here and the fact that I didn't get it at my purchase of a 17. You Californians are pretty lucky, lol which means the 2 free years of maintenance from Toyota is pretty much not an extra selling point against Subaru in the west SoCal area.
