Are any of you AVO guys running a 3rd party e-tune? Once the snow melts I'm thinking of maybe going with a Delicious or Drift Office E-Tune and was wondering what some of your experiences have been

I absolutely love the E-tune on my AVO from Bob @Driftoffice done 6 months ago. I consider this team (Bob and Bill) to be the best around. These two are as knowledgable about the FA20 as any tuners on the west coast! yet are still humble and listen to each individual owner for input. I cannot tell you how many passengers I have impressed or scared the daylights out of with this tune and setup. I am currently at 8 pounds of boost, enjoying 260whp (plenty for me), very streetable as a DD (my 18 year old daughter drives it better than I do), am still on the stock clutch, and have had Zero (0) issues.
Oh yeah, I am averaging 29.5MPG, down 1MPG from N/A, on 92 E0

Thank you again Drift Office

Pete

Thanks for the info. After emailing bill @ Delicious over the past couple of days, and the strong recommendations, I've decided to go with him.

Locally we have 91 octane with 0 ethanol and 94 octane with like 10% ethanol I think. I'm thinking 94 octane is 94 octane and should just get a tune for that, but at the same time, what happens if I go on a road trip and only 91 is available?

plan your pitstops/fill ups. I know after I go to E85 I either am going to the stock tune for going back home or planning the whole trip out with were I have to stop to fill up on the way home. Or tune for the lowest octane

Bill @DeliciousTuning can set you up with two maps which you can select via cruise control switch. Bill tuned two maps for use both 91 and E85. On E85 we get about 22 MPG on the 91 we get 28MPG. Bill is working on a flex fuel kit which will take the need out of switching maps. I belive the 91 map would work great for you and if you should run 94 it will give you some added performance.

So the install is pretty much done but I cant seem to get rid of a very minor coolant drip. I re-did the coolant lines on to the turbo with two clamps per hose, but I still get a very tiny drip off of the cotter pin on the actuator rod. I looked up and down the rod and there is no coolant that ran down it. I'm hoping it's just condensation from the heat under the car once I warmed it up? The only place I could think that coolant might be coming from is the actual in/out lines but they look dry. I'm assuming that there is no way coolant could get into the downpipe and the coolant chamber of the turbo is cast into the housing with no type of gasket that it might be getting by?

The car is on jackstands in my garage which is about 10 degrees C, and with my door open its about -10C outside.

I can pretty much say my exp was just as good.

What was great was even after I said everything was good and was on my way @Drift-Office gave me a call just to check up on me just in case.

Bob and Bill are great!

While it's probably just condensation, especially if it just looks like water, it doesn't hurt to check everything again. Keep in mind that post-install, there is bound to be some excess fluids hanging around in the engine bay that happened when various lines were pulled off, and those fluids may take some time to fully evaporate.

I sent an email regarding upgrading actuator and never got a reply.

Are the actuators universal with a T25 turbo? Thanks.

I've tried everything that was suggested to get the bumper into place. The crash beam is as high as it'll go and I've even extended the holes in the IC's mounting brackets. The IC is till about 10mm too low.

Not sure what else to do but grind down the black cover piece.

I was able to get mine to fit but only after slotting the bumper mounting points about 5mm. Shortening the hoses where they join the intercooler and then using about 4 cable ties to pull the hoses towards the bumper beam mounts. This allowed the washer jets to mount properly. The washer jet covers went back on nice and straight.
