Does anyone have a recommended place to get tires mounted/balanced? My fiancee has a set of 17x8 bright silver Volks that have 245 RE-11A's mounted on them. I need them taken off and all seasons put on. Down in Indy we had a friend with a mount/balance system and I know these are not easy rims nor tires to get off without a delicate hand.

So any suggestions on a place that won't scratch up the rims?

Supposedly AutoEurope does a good job not scratching rims. I took my volks to discount tire where there supposedly was a guy that was "supposed" to do a good job, yeah it sucked. However, I've been having good luck with two sets of new RPF1's at a different discount tire here in Ann Arbor.

Jimenez tire in Pontiac if you have not found a place yet is really good. Hugo is the co-owner and will take really good care of you.

Thanks Bryce, I forgot you guys were so close! I'll have to swing by at some point to check out the place.

I won't be here this weekend as I'm heading to PA for the Carlisle Performance and Style car show. That's why I wanted to get the fluid swap done last weekend.

I live in Lake Orion.. which is also pretty far from you. I should have sent the stuff with Daniel. He lives much closer to you than I do. Bummer.. I didn't think that one out.

If you want to come out this weekend you can, just let me know and I'll have my wife meet you or put the box outside by the garage behind a shrub or something and you can pick it up whenever.

Otherwise we can arrange something another time.

I'm sure we'll have a group meet sometime soon..

who wants to arrange that???

I would host but I still live in an apartment. Aside from @Accurate Race Shop 's offer(?) of hosting up in his area, I say we plan some sort of BBQ at one of the Metroparks around here. Possibly even invite people from areas other than Metro Detroit.

Wish I would have seen this before we did the swap. I'll check with you guys for parts in the future.

The bad one was the one on stadium near jackson, but they closed.

The good ones so far are either the one on washtenaw or the one on carpenter road. But they've only worked on my enkei's which are easy compared to the aluminum barrels on my volks.

I'll probably get it sometime when you are at your home as I wanted to check out your exhaust too! Do you live near the Troy area? I live in Farmington Hills, so I can try to drop by at your place sometime late evening before the weekend if that is fine with you.

Edit: Apparently, I'm blind. Just saw that you live in Lake Orion!

Spotted:

Red FRS in 696 going east around 5pm on May 6th.
Blue BRZ in 5 Mile Rd going east around 7:30am on May 8th.

Not a twin but a White MX5 with Roll Cage and Fat Tires. May 7th.

NONE of these people made eye contact or attempted. Pulled next to the Miata and kept his head straight. FRS was the same.

BRZ I was going the opposite way. I didnt not recognize the car until the DRL.

Spotted a gray/black BRZ at 9 mile and Halsted around 5:15. I gave thumbs up and they returned the wave.

Also saw a white BRZ parked outside a building on the south side of 8mile between Farmington and Merriman. Linnmar or something.

Anybody local with a MT MY13 twin who has had a recent rpm drop TSB done (preferred) or a '14 car who'd be willing to let me pull a ZA1JB01C ROM off their car? The dealer couldn't update me for some reason cause it doesn't show up in their system.

Or better yet someone with a Tatrix cable who could pull their ROM and share it?
