Wow! Now I'm scratching my head. I'm sloppy with the paste wax so I was sure that would do the trick. WTH?

You want to try an aliphatic solvent first. As others have already recommended, first try IPA. You can get the 91% or 70% versions at Walmart. If that doesn't work try minerals spirits, aka stoddard solvent or paint thinner, not paint remover.

You can also try bug and tar remover. They contain a large amount of aliphatic petroleum distillates and IPA. https://www.turtlewax.com/docs/defau...ug-tar-remover

And as others have stated, DO NOT use an aromatic solvent like acetone or toluene.

DO NOT wax any of your plastic trim or the black plastic part of your bumper with carnuba wax. There are products out there, i.e., Mothers Back to Black or Meguiar's Ultimate Black, for the black plastic trim.
For a moment I thought you were talking about the beer in my hand. "Huh, I didn't know IPA's could dissolve wax..."

HA, HA!! Wasn't thinking about beer but hey it might work to remove wax on plastic/rubber parts. Too late for the OP since he plasti dipped.

If I am correct you are not supposed to wax the plastic. If anything you should try and clean it with dish soap and a toothbrush or other soft bristle brush. Then treat the area with a product made for plastic.
