Clutch squeak inside bell housing?

I have a 2013 BRZ with 41,000 on it recently it started developing this quite loud creak or squeak at around 75% of the down stroke on the clutch which gets progressively worse until 100% of the down stroke travel is met at the clutch stop. Anyone else run into something similar before? I am expecting it to be most likely the throw out bearing or the pressure plate but wanted to get some feedback. Here is a video that captured the sound and you can somewhat see the throw of the slave cylinder.

Thoughts? I just lubed the clutch fork pivot dimple with some high moly synthetic grease so it's not that.

I have this problem too. Mine is not as loud as yours though.
It looks like your engine was turned off when you took the video. Mine makes the noise when the engine is off too.
The dealer took a look at my car last week Saturday and said they will replace a clutch pedal bushing and a clip. They're waiting for the parts to come in and I'm hoping they'll replace those this Saturday. I'm doubting that will fix the issue because the other members got throw out bearing replaced and clutch fork lubricated. I think I'll be the first person to get the clutch pedal bushing and clip replaced.

hmmmm.......if the squeak sound is coming from the pedal mechanism in the footwell, I'd be tempted to shoot at moving parts with a silicone spray and see if I could hit the squeak.

I'd start shooting at anything that is hooked to a spring.

It's not coming from the pedal assembly, it's coming from inside the bell housing.

Here's mine.
This is why I doubt that replacing the clutch pedal bushing will fix this issue. It's louder under the hood. If it's clutch pedal bushing, then it should be louder in the cabin.

I had this for a short time last summer which seemed to go away after a clutch bleed and track day. Really have no idea why it went away.

I've heard it's the throwout bearing causing the noise. Mine eventually went away for no reason at all.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I took it by the dealership last week and they will be pulling the transmission off to fix a 3rd > 4th gear grind at high RPM so during that they will be inspecting the clutch assembly and replacing anything that needs it. I will update this thread once all the work is done on what they find.

I am at the Toyota Dealership right now as I type this getting this exact problem fixed. The throwout/release bearing is no good. . Car is 2013 with 42,xxxkm. I inspected the defective part that was removed and there was excessive play in the bearing. Got a bunch of other warranty items taken care of also.

I have this exact same issue with my 2013 FR-S with 36K miles. I have been wondering what it could be. I would just take it to the dealership but it is so inconsistent. It wont happen all of the time which gets super frustrating.. I find that mine makes the noise mostly after I have the car warm and i've been driving it for a good distance. Do you guys think I should try and take it in? If I got them to inspect the TOB and it was bad then I would totally have the clutch replaced at the same time since I know it is going to be the first thing to go..

When mine first started to make this noise 1 1/2 year ago, it took 45 minutes of driving.
The time of driving required to reproduce this noise was getting less and less. Right now, after 1 1/2 year, it only needs 10 minutes of driving to reproduce the noise.
Also, this doesn't make sense and not sure if it's true, but it feels like I have higher chance of reproducing the noise when I have windows closed and A/C on. Less chance when I have windows open and A/C off.
To verify the noise from inside of the cabin, it's easier to do so with the windows closed and engine turned off. The noise is louder under the car or under the hood.

I had squeak and similar issues.

Mine was just lose and not tight were it had to be. Drives like a dream now. Thanks for your info in this thread though, helped me in attempting to locate my issue earlier this week.

I have the same exact noise as well. It use to be inconsistent but now its loud and it does it all the time whether its hot or cold. I'm wondering if its a quick fix we can do ourselves. To me it sounds like something needs to be lubed up and maybe the clutch line needs to be bled.

^^ Nope, more involved than that.

I had mine at the dealer this morning and have to bring it back next week for them to pull the tranny and see what's going on. They sounded pretty confident that things need to be cleaned and lubed properly and a new clutch may be coming my way. Heh, better be warranty or I'm gonna be out a few bucks

2013 (Dec '12 build) with 35k miles. Squeaky as pedal is depressed with a crunchy/crusty feel at the end of the pedal stroke. Was after an hour but now as little as fifteen minutes and can be heard a few feet away from the car.
