Maryland and New York were both much better (yes, I'm 28 and have have been a juror twice already...). You call in the day before, they say whether you need to come in, you go in for a day (maybe 2 if selected), and you get $40 or so for your troubles and you are done for 6 years at least. Efficient, effective, fair, I'm happy to comply.

I have never been called. My wife gets called about ever 8 months for the last 20 years. She has not yet been selected though.

The jury pool is based on driver's license number. Yours is so old the database has a type error because of the leading zeros. No exceptions will be written because the software for that part of the system is beyond being updated. You will never serve your country in this fashion.

If I am selected, the case/trial will last to approximately October 19.

Can't give the details I have for obvious reasons but suffice to say.. things aren't lookin' too good for me.
