I've had 4 people in it on more than one occasion, and I've ridden in the back of it on the test drive while MomHawk drove it. It helps to have a short driver though so it leaves some room in the back. 3 people is easy to do.

I once brought 3 other adults to the airport with 3 suitcases in the trunk! It was a shameless, uncomfortable, proud moment for me. Go twins!

Never thought I'd use the backseat, but twice this weekend I had someone in the back. Full grown adults at that. While they werent comfortable it was definitely better than I expected. Seemed like the worst part was climbing out.

Once my BRZ arrives, I will be using the back seats regularly for my 3 and 6 year olds. I know many people could care less about those extra seats but they are lifesavers for me. As good as this car is, it would have been a serious deal breaker without them. I am extremely thankful to Toyota and Subaru.

No doubt, brother. Had a 2013 FR-S before this, and kids had a blast each and every time.

I did it twice with 4 adults all of us were between 5'6" and 5'8".
Those in the rear complained about getting in and out but otherwise I was told it was pretty comfortable for a ~30 min ride both time. |

I've had my sister in the back before. It's not comfortable but it works.
I wouldn't have bought this car if it wasn't for the rear seats. |
