What is the thinnest adapter I can use without having to cut the lug nut?

So I see that there are 10mm adapter's out there for our cars but I don't see how in the world this could possibly clear the stock lug nut without having to cut the end off, even if your wheel's have pockets to accept the protruding end of the lug's. So from a conservative standpoint, would 25mm the thinnest we can go without having to cut any lug's? What about 15mm if your wheel's have pocket's to accept the protruding end?

Depth of pocket + thickness of spacer= or > length of lug stud. Someone know exactly how long the lug studs are? Preferably measured with a caliper?

Super thin 10 or 15mm bolt-on spacers only work by 1) running small lug nuts (that are supplied with the kit), and 2) often require you to shave the end of the stock wheel stud off.

Bottom line is, don't do this unless you want to change wheel studs later.

Also, apostrophe.

I have eibach 10mm spacers that came with extended lugs. Fairly easy to swap out.

Yeah i'm wondering how long the stock lug stud's are as well. My jack is currently broken so I can't take the wheel off at the moment. Anyone happen to know?

Also out of curiosity can anyone confirm or deny if 20mm adapter's will clear the stock lug stud's if your wheel's have pocket's on them?
