Dan's Whiteout FR-S Slow Build

I'm gonna be pretty ambitious with this car. Not sure if I'll be over my head, but the big stuff I'm going to have shops install. I plan on taking my sweet time with this since I did purchase the extended warranty....

EDIT: Updated with new mods, goals, and a new picture.

Current Fuel Economy: -- I haven't been updating this at all lately, averaging ~30mpg

The day I got the car, couldn't stop smiling

Current picture of the car:

A little bit about me: My name is Dan and I just graduated from college with a Bachelors in Computer Science so I sold my '00 Civic Si (and just recently got it back) and bought myself a nice graduation present! Got a full time job now so I can pretty easily support building my car. This is my first RWD car ever so I'm taking my time learning how to control it and not be stupid on the streets. This car will see autocross time and as much track time at Mid-Ohio as I can afford (which probably won't be too often, unfortunately). Just recently got the '00 Civic Si back in a trade and it will most likely become a dedicated track/autox car.

Thanks! I hope I can make it interesting! Oh! And two more things I wanted to add to my list are the Perrin CAI and the Perrin 2.5" resonated catback.

Got my Rally Armor mudflaps installed and did the re-badging yesterday. Got a shorty antenna, but it was 2" instead of the 4" that I ordered so I'm waiting on them to ship out the 4", should be here on Tuesday.

Went to the track today for autox and had a blast. I was last in my class, but everyone else was running some kind of track tires. I couldn't get any video this time, but I should have my GoPro Hero3 by the next event.

My Carsmo armrest:

Re-badging process: Just used a credit card to cut through the adhesive, a hairdryer to warm up the leftover adhesive, and some Goo Gone to clean up the rest. Waxed it before I put the new badges on.

New badges and mudflaps:

All LED's have been installed except for the sidemarker LED's which I'm gonna wait until I get my clear sidemarkers to take care of. Got the TapTurn relay flasher in and love it! Thanks @scottmcphee

Getting ready to order an OE-Style rear diffuser and I'm waiting on my trunk lid mat to come in from the Subaru dealership.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a photoshoot in sometime soon, I'm finally about ready for one

No problem! Thank you for fast shipping and great products I'll make sure to post up pictures of the LED's once I finally get around to taking them. The rear turn signal LED's really confused me until I realized what your instructions meant haha. And I actually didn't have to make any cuts to fit the Switchbacks in my front turn signal holes.

Thanks man! I really like the way they look, my friend enjoys the fact that at night they are giant reflectors haha. And I pushed them in as much as I could because they would look a little silly pulled as far out as possible one stock wheels that aren't anywhere near flush with the fenders.

So I've been looking at @JPM Coachworks's thread and have really been thinking about doing an Alcantara interior conversion next...looking at doing shift boot, e-brake boot, gauge cluster hood, knee pads, speaker trim, upper and lower door trim pieces for the doors, dash panel, sun visors, and A and B-pillars...wow this is gonna get expensive pretty quick! lol. It will really make my car stand out though

Lots of updates, but no new pictures just yet. Going for a cruise this Sunday so hopefully I can get some good pictures there. I've finished the LED overhaul, finished the exterior Toyota emblem swap (centercaps, piston badges, clear corners, etc.) with the exception of the headlights. Installed rear diffuser and just ordered rear spats, thinking about paint matching them.

On my realistic todo list for the next couple things I'm thinking: catback exhaust (Perrin 2.5" resonated), wheels (not exactly sure yet), TRD side skirts, and a front lip.

The car looked fantastic, if you ever are in need of some help let me know, I'll see what I can do to lend a hand.

Thanks man I really appreciate it! Yours looks great as well! I definitely need to get new wheels soon, I love how the twins pull off 18" wheels so well
