can anyone recommend places in DFW for the following:

affordable car wash place (no hose access at my apartment complex)

window tint shop

detailing shop

i live at 75/lovers in dallas and work at 75/spring creek in plano. would prefer places around this area. but for the sake of the forum, list your own suggestions/locations!

didn't find any forums like this, but figure it can be useful to some people other than me
I got my window tint here (http://local.yahoo.com/info-18652794...int-richardson) in Richardson, they did a good job during my lunch break. Price was good and I got a discount for paying cash.

Figured id drop in and say hello. I don't have my FR-S yet but it should be here in 2 to 4 weeks hopefully. I will be getting a Hot Lava 6MT FR-S. Currently driving a 1990 240sx with a SR20DET swap without a/c, p/s, or a heater. Can't wait to get a car with some creature comforts. I live in TC near Lewisville and Frisco.

Don't mean to be too nosy, but how much did you have to pay? I just want to know what to expect.

It was well under $200 but I don't remember offhand the exact cost.

I got the max legal tint (35% I think), top grade materials from 3M. I really did not pay too much attention to the details.

I was checking my photos but none really focus on the tint, light angles are bad. I will try to get some shots tonight. Any angles you are looking for? From inside/outside?

any side/back shot would be great. but don't go too far out of your way to do it, i still need to save up money! plus, i've looked at some other members' pics on the forum and don't expect them to vary from one shop's work to the next.

any problems at night with it being too dark? i've heard people tell stories of almost hitting pedestrians walking the street because of too dark of tint.

The tint that I have on my 240sx is legal I think and on the hatch it is way dark. I personally haven't almost hit anyone but I could easily see it happening.

I really haven't. The only issue I have had is backing up at night with the windows up. Then again, I have had tinted windows for over two decades and I am pretty used to it.

Went to Lewisville Scion and they had a couple FR-S in Raven, not what I'm looking for. Will know when mine will come in by Monday. Test drove a FR-S with tinted windows at the 35% and it is really easy to see out of. On my 240sx it's a hell of alot darker.

My anniversary was yesterday so I couldn't make it to Cars and Coffee this month, but will be there next month since my work schedule changes next year and I won't be able to make it to anymore for a while.

I believer the red one was mine since I was there unless there was someone else there with a red one after I left
