Thanks for post, plugs look good could probably go longer.
If you are tracking in TX you want to switch to 10w30 or 10w40.
You maybe burning oil because of oil temp/pressure and thinness of the of 0w20.
I just switched to 10w40 now as this was the only way I could get safe oil pressures on track for an entire session.
Hey man,

Here is what we removed:
+ removed airbox
+ I disconnected the charge pipe coming out of the blower, and I disconnected the last two pipes in the system (the one with the maf and the one going to the throttle body).
+ removed the strut tower brace
+ removed the driver side diagonal brace
+ removed the single bolt on the perrin motor mounts that connects it to the subframe

Notable things we left:
Full exhaust left bolted on
I think I left the gearbox mounts in place

We jacked up the motor on each side that we were working on. About 2"
did the trick. I have the perrin resonated catback, so the flex pipe on the resonated part let me keep everything connected. Looking back I probably should have taken the bolts off the gearbox mount.

I have to check my oil pressure. I assume you can't do it unless you have an external sensor? I have run 10w30 before but you can feel the difference as the car felt more sluggish to me dailying it around.

Yeah. I used to have hard starts. It was a russian roulette. I went over to e85 flex fuel. Haven't had any starting problems when ethanol is present. I haven't tried pure petroleum since.

Installed the moto-east flex fuel kit last night, and filled up with e85. I got e58 since I had some 1/4 tank of pump left. Had my car custom tuned for flex fuel. After a few runs, we ended up with 300.86 whp with 218.33 torque. The tune is not done yet, as I have to fill up with pure E85 to get tuning done for higher ethanol content. Not bad for stock 9psi pulley imo.
Here's a comparison for the current tune:
RED is 85 tune on stock 9psi pulley
BLUE is 93 pump tune on 9psi pulley
PURPLE is stock tune with headers. (could not find the baseline tune)

Ok thanks for heads up on plugs, I have to do mine next year will probably do coils at the same time as well. Pain in the ass just to do plugs on this car, probably worse than hair plugs.

For oil pressure you need an external gauge, the sender gets plugged into the oil gallery bolt hole by throttle body.

In the heat by you and if you track I think you will be shocked at how low the oil pressure drops on 0w20 after 215F. I had to switch to 10w30 for daily driving. And 10w40 for track and that's at 80F ambient temps.

Really nice results, how is Moto East with tuning compared to what you had before?

I'm using my local tuner for the flex fuel tune. I did not use moto-east's tune. My custom tune is not done yet as I have to go back and have it tuned once I get a full tank of pure e85.

Curious - how many of you guys are using Vishnu's Open Flash Tablet Tuning with an aftermarket header on your Vortech cars? Any feedback, negative or positive?

I have the Agency Power with the OFT300, sounds good... and by my butt dyno, runs good.

Maybe we could add this to the front page.

MAP Scaling for OMNI 3-BAR and Diagnostic Trouble Code to disable for OFT300 Tune:

If the P0068 code isn't showing in OFT300 Tune, Shiv or you can disable it in a Hex Editor. Straight from Shiv:

"The P0068 switch is at 0x11DD54. I just changed the 01 (on) to 00 (off)."

PRO TIP for FIRST TIME Installers:

Before you mount the SC to the car, pull the tensioner 98% open. You should see a hole on the block and a hole on the Tensioner Pulley at the 7-8 o'clock position lining up - stick a small Allen Key or something similar in there to keep the tensioner open. Otherwise you'll have a hell of a time working around the dipstick mount to try and rotate the tensioner, ask me how I know.

Also, when installing the belt, slip the belt over the silver smooth idler under the A/C compressor as the last step before you release the tensioner. This is by far the easiest.

Thanks to @Shiv@Openflash, @zkv476, @stratodyne and THIS thread for help along the way.

That's seriously all that's needed to make the tune work for a 3BAR? I bought a 2.5BAR to replace my existing 3 for nothing! Lol

Is there any benefit in going back to the 3 with this scaling on the tune?

P.S. I was able to get the P0068 option by incorporating TD-D's mapping definition from his files on github. I had to use the one for my CALID of course. The OFT300 is based on the 1.x not the 2.x OFT maps, so use the right file for your ECU.

I actually found the top bracket (which goes to the alternator) bolt on the SC plate will hold a serpentine belt tool in the fully open position while installing belt...

Haha, yeah, the 3-BAR setting for ECUTek is in a thread somewhere. The values that I posted are just that ECUTek scaling converted to PSI (which OFT uses). AFR is within +/-0.1-0.2 of command at any given time and it runs great. OFT uses the MAF though, so that could be a moot point. I am no tuner, though.

Also, good point on the OFT300 tune. Just verify you are using the 1.x definitions. 2.x will load, but give you crazy values (could also brick your ECU if you proceed to load a tune modified with them).

Ah, yes, that could work too. Just make sure to have a long enough wrench.

There is a $20 tool which is specifically for tensioner at autozone. This trick work with these, plus you can access from the top and it's almost 3 feet long so you get a lot more leverage on the tensioner
