To fit this....

I heard this should be good for up to 450HP... We'll see about that soon enough

What type of turbo is that? The inlet looks pretty small but it's hard to get a sense of size given that there's nothing to reference it to.

Thats right the inlet and outlet are 2"...i usually use those on 1.8t vag motors with great success, they spool up very quickly so i cant imagine how much fun this is going to be on a 2 liter high compression engine!

Got more hardware tonight! Some straight 2", 2.5" and 3".

1.5" bends to build the header

Some 2", 2.5" and 3" bend plus merge collector

Farrels for each end of the intercooler piping to prevent them from popping out. 3" ones will require some machining

No clue what this is for but it was in there...

Rivnuts to mount the intercooler bracket properly

Old, kind of, shit out...

Merge collector tacked for mock up

In place...

Flanges bolted up and first 2 runners in place

More soon!

Sweet build
I've always wanted to build a turbo system for my car. Maybe I will one day after I learn to weld.

So i finished mocking up the exhaust manifold. Its far from perfect now but i have a shitty mig at home. I ll bring it to the shop, ill rework it, moves tubes around a bit and tig weld it. Only one pic for tonight. Hopefully a bib update this week end!

Edit: yes the freakin merge is 1 7/8 and the other piping in 1.5" so it will be filled up... This winter i plan on making a much nicer header with a 1.5" collector
